“We have visited this restaurant on two occasions now both times for the pizza which is very tasty and a good size. We normally go around 3.30 / 4pm on a Sunday as it's not to busy and enjoy a seat by the window. The service is good but I did feel it was a little rushed this last time as maybe staff were looking for something to do. Sorry who wants to rush on a Sunday?? That's why I have given 4 stars.”

“Had a spontaneous Monday lunch at the Boars. The food, service and atmosphere was beautiful! We felt very festive and as always the chicken pie and belly pork was 10/10! Ella was very friendly and attentive. Already looking forward to our next visit! X”

“We were passing and called in for Sunday lunch. The food was superb, well cooked, large portions, beautifully presented and for a very reasonable price. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.”

“Lovely cafe with great food and friendly people running it. Nice little area to sit outside and pretend you’re in Paris. Can take the dog which is great. Charcuterie board is so good and onion soup was amazing - better than I could have expected! There were gluten free options on the menu and in the fresh cakes too.”

“Ordered a takeaway for collection for first time as we had friends round. Come to collect and was greeted by a lovely woman jacqui who looked after us. All the staff were very pleasant and went above and beyond. Food was amazing, best Chinese I’ve had and friends said the same. Would highly recommend to everyone who loves a Chinese!!”

“Been meaning to write a review for ages... this place is stunning and so are the owners, staff and food. Sophia and the team have an incredible job as custodians of such a beautiful and historic building and throughout lockdown they have shown strength and resilience beyond measure to keep it open and thriving. It was the only place we had takeaway from during lockdown, I think it was about 8 times in the end- amazing fish and chips. We were delighted to be able to eat in properly and each time the food and service has been perfect The menu is exquisite, wonderful fusions of flavours and presented like a piece of art! The 7 course tasting menu that should have been our NYE celebration, took place in May after lockdown and it was stunning and a much needed very special treat for my husband and I. I want to get there at lunchtime and enjoy the beautiful garden before the end of the summer!”

“Turned up with no booking. The staff promptly found us a table and served us drinks whilst we looked at the menu. We both had chicken roast dinner which was absolutely delicious. One of the best places I've visited for a roast all homemade and very substantial. Worth a visit if your passing through Nantwich”

“Lovely little restaurant, good was insanely delicious, everything came out fresh and hot. Food came out very fast left like no more than 15mins. Child's pizza was lovely my child ate the whole thing. And said the icecream was nice. Staff (blonde lady on entrance) super friendly and very helpful. We are definitely returning 10/10 in all areas.”

“Farima was our waitress this evening, She was friendly and helpful with regards to our nut allergy needs. No task to hard checking ingredients for us. Aswell as taking us a photo together with our food. We've been a few times here and food is always exceptional and so are the staff. Warm and welcoming as always thankyou for a lovely night!”

“I recently dined at Deadwood Smoke Restaurant and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm, rustic, and inviting — the perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The ambiance really added to the overall experience, with cozy lighting and a laid-back vibe that made it easy to settle in and enjoy the evening. Now onto the food — absolutely amazing! The menu offers a great selection, but the standout for me was definitely the steak. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, juicy, and full of that rich, smoky flavor you’d expect from a place that takes its grilling seriously. You could really taste the quality of the meat and the care put into its preparation. The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and checking in just the right amount. Whether you’re a fan of barbecue, a steak lover, or just someone looking for a great place to enjoy a hearty meal with excellent ambiance, Deadwood Smoke Restaurant is a must-visit. “What a delightful old pub in Nantwich. The food, the drink and wonderful ambience make this well worth a visit. Brimming with historic charm and a children's policy (over 12s only) which ensures a relaxing visit. I have to commend the landlord on enforcing this. Children are a blessing but I simply want to enjoy my downtime time in peace. To hear the crackle of the large open fire and conversation with my partner over a superb plate of food. Huge well done Darren & team. We will be back very soon!”

“Came here for lunch and had delicious food. I had a regular size (which was a decent size) pizza Arriba, which was delicious! The dough is fantastic, I like a doughy pizza and this one delivered on that. The toppings were really generous, too. I did ask to change the chorizo to nduja, which was kindly done for me, although after ordering and paying, I was then told there were no peppers available. Not a biggie, but I think it's fair to be told things like that before paying. My wife went for the Mancini pasta, which she said was also delicious. Especially the mushrooms in the dish. I tried one and agreed that the flavours were incredible. They taken on the flavours of the chorizo and were just so moreish! She said it was only warm, though, and could have done with being a bit hotter. The drinks we ordered they didn't have in stock, and I got the impression they maybe don't stock what's on the menu as they had other beers (although they didn't have it available to buy, just had one on display) and wines that weren't on the menu, which again isn't a biggie, but a little strange. The staff were friendly. We paid just over 32.50 for the pizza, pasta, glass of wine, and a beer, which we felt was fair, especially as the food was so nice. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would go back again.”

“On a training course in Nantwich and tried Basmati. Great place in the old railway station building. Was recommended the Naga, as I like some heat and I wasn't disappointed. Very tasty, and the naan was enormous. Excellent service too.”

“We stopped in today after work to try the ‘mother clucker’ chicken burger (I’ve been dying to try it since its release) and boy, it did not dissapoint!!! Best burger I’ve had in a very long time!”

“Really enjoyed having a little stop at this cafe for a drink. In the centre of town just off the main area it’s big enough for maybe 25 people with various tables inside and out. Toilets on site and it’s wheelchair accessible too. They allowed our dog in as he was well behaved. Lovely service and very friendly. We had a couple of cream teas with great clotted cream and home made scones - it was a great time thanks”

“Wonderful, wonderful bar. The DJ is out of this world!! Me and a couple of pals had dinner and drinks here on a Saturday night. I didn’t realise the place turns into a full blown nighty C after dark. Food was amazing, service too. But, the DJ was something else! Got chatting with the DJ who names himself ‘Joey the Axe’ (I think). He was brilliant. Read the room with his music, and was very very friendly. Played all of our requests without issue and made the night very special. Even gave me a lift home and walked me to my door!! I’ll never forget you Joey the Axe.”

“Food was amazing! I was so shocked at how quiet it was... We did go on a Tuesday evening so wasn't expecting it to be rammed. Food came very quickly and was delicious! Big portions too!”

“Called in for food and drinks on Saturday afternoon with plenty of parking we accessed via a ramp and footbridge bridge over to the pub where we received a friendly welcome with choice of seating from bar area or dining area, dog friendly if you're walking past with your furry friend. We enjoyed a tasty vegan burger with hand made chips and also a great beef bourguignon, room for pudding was filled with a Bakewell tart with ice cream and a real treat of a honey and whiskey panna cotta. Both were well presented and another empty plate was left, definitely will be calling again to watch the canal boats and walkers passing by”

“Excellent pub on the banks of the canal with moorings. Large beer garden with plenty of tables some under cover. Pub with conservatory and room overlooking the canal. Good bar area and Timothy Taylor’s Landlord on draught and very well kept served in a real jug not a straight glass. Food smelt good and menu looked good also. Will be back for dinner one evening.”

“It’s ALDI. Great prices and good quality Convenient , each branch has a similar layout , so you can find what you need. And their special aisles, get the offers when you see them as they won’t be there for long.”

“Visited for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. The menu is diverse and the food is excellent. Service was mixed - one of the waitresses was good but the other wasn’t great (ignored us at the bar etc). But overall a good experience and we’d definitely return!”
