“We recently sold our house in Madeley using Reeds Rains Newcastle and can only compliment the team and in particular Jack, for continuing to keep us updated through the entire process and provided valuable advice and guidance. Despite a challenging exchange and completion process, Jack was incredibly supportive and chased down buyers and solicitors and reported back detailed updates and advice to keep us calm in a tense environment, we can’t thank him enough.”
“Amazing food from chilli jacks. Everything was hot and fresh, and the order was perfect. Big shoutout to Max for making my food it was delicious! Will definitely be ordering from here again. 10/10”
“Lovely little theatre with a circular seating plan so sometimes the action isn’t always in front of you. Building is well maintained and everything just works well. Small car park, but the Polite Vicar is next door with another car park their. Well worth a visit.”
“Great day out for the kids. Had an activity teaching then to look and learn for a prize. Great attention to detail at the museum lots to see. Staff are nice and most of all. FREE 2 hours to kill with the kids”
“I visited the Arndale Heritage Centre today with my son and it honestly warmed my heart. Barrie and team have built this place from scratch and filled it with so many fascinating things from fossils to old mining history. But what made it really special was Barrie himself. He took so much time with my little boy, explaining each fossil and piece of mining equipment with such care and enthusiasm. Watching my sons eyes light up as he listened was a moment I’ll always remember — and it meant a lot to me too. It’s rare to meet someone so genuinely passionate, kind and generous with their time. People like Barrie are what makes the world go round, and the centre is a true reflection of the love and effort he’s put into it. We feel honoured to have met him today, and we’ll definitely be back.”
“So helpful and friendly, full of smiles. nothing is to much trouble and the rooms are lovely, beds very comfortable. Definitely worth the trip. Definitely go again”
“Relationship lovely staff and customers are great welcome to new people/visitors.”
“The Crossways Pub in Newcastle-under-Lyme is a charming local establishment that captures the essence of a traditional British pub. With its warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff, it quickly makes visitors feel at home. The pub offers a good selection of ales, beers, and spirits, catering to a variety of tastes. The food menu, featuring classic pub fare, is well-prepared and satisfying, making it a great spot for both a casual drink and a hearty meal. The decor is cozy and nostalgic, adding to the overall appeal. Occasionally, live music and events add to the vibrant community feel. However, it can get quite busy during peak times, which may affect service speed. Overall, the Crossways Pub is a delightful spot for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy a traditional pub experience.”
“I will be honest, the last time I went to PDP it was horrendous. There was no atmosphere, they got our meals wrong and it was just genuinely bad. Fast forward to yesterday and it was INCREDIBLE. Back to its normal self. The food was immense, they were so hospitable for the kids. Well done everyone. You made a very poor experience previously, become an excellent experience now. I’d highly recommend here. Such a beautiful restaurant.”
“Had my first eyebrow wax today and was very impressed. It was virtually pain-free and Monica worked quickly and efficiently. Lovely lady! The price is very reasonable as well. I will definitely be returning. 5*”
“A real pub. Great atmosphere, Great staff. I took my friend visiting from Australia. He loved it.”
“Eggettes is such a gem in Keele! The bubble tea tastes amazing—easily some of the best I’ve had. The shop is cozy and full of adorable decorations, making it perfect for taking photos while you enjoy your drink. It’s a great spot to hang out with friends or just relax. The staff are super friendly and helpful, especially Jesslyn Yeom, who went above and beyond to make our visit special. Plus, everything is really affordable. Highly recommend checking it out!”
“Solid local traditional pub. Well worth a visit”
“Food was not 5 star, though for me and my family it was exactly what the doctor ordered: generous portions, good tasting fare and, ....the price was very reasonable. Most of all, the chef and his daughter were so friendly, that we had a good natter with them were he explained some of the acts and singers performing there at times. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Btw, a bottle of wine was included within the total price of £48.- feeding 4 of us! Thank You, Chef”
“Little gem of a bar. Great atmosphere with amazing Beatles themed decor. Great place for a drink, highly recommended.”
“Cracking old pub located on the High Street, great choice of beers, definitely worth a visit if you're in town”
“Newcomer to area, this seems by far best fish and chip shop around so far. They do those amazingly special chicken curries with chips that remind me of beach towns in South Wales.”
“Lovely food, ordered the Surf and Turf which was amazing and hot. My mum had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken which was equally as nice. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere too. Definitely recommend. Thank you.”
“Fantastic good value pub grub, Classic breakfast 4.99 Steak and egg 7.50 plus gorgeous desserts choc fudge cake and the after eight dessert just under 5.00 each we all really enjoyed it”
“Good staff, great food this time around! Our whole party enjoyed the experience! Another visit, same excellent experience. Love coming here! 24 June 2023 Another visit but not so good this time. Below par food from the vegetarian menu with ingredients missing from the salad. Really quiet but the service was also a bit lacklustre. Ordered from the app at the table which is a worrying experience as it often tries to order the mains again when you add food was a little below par. 19 Oct 2024 Another visit with my father in law and although the bar and waiting staff were as excellent as always the standard of the food is dropping rapidly. So few flavoursome filling vegetarian options I reverted to fish and chips again and yet again the fish was overcooked (our last visit had the same problem and when asked by the waitress if it was alright was told by her several had been sent back that lunchtime). Is this a kitchen staffing problem or is the frozen battered fish they use just poor quality?”
“Hosted our son's birthday party here today. Lovely service, nothing was too much trouble and very reasonably priced. Would recommend.”
“Love this pub, always have a good night”
“Landlady made a real effort to welcome us”
“What a lovely place to stay! So, so pleased with our rooms - my daughter and my dad thought exactly the same. Clean, comfortable with everything we needed and slept so comfortably. Lovely staff and excellent affordable prices. The restaurant attached was brilliant - a whole range of lovely meals available again all at amazingly good prices. The restaurant/bar staff were friendly and welcoming and there was a nice outside part where we could also sit. I simply could not recommend this place enough.”
“Cherry Tree Bar & Restaurant is an absolute gem and easily one of Newcastle’s standout spots. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm, relaxed atmosphere that strikes the perfect balance between stylish and comfortable. The food is exceptionally good value — beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, whether you’re stopping by for a casual meal or a special occasion. The drinks menu is equally impressive, offering a great selection to suit all tastes. What truly sets Cherry Tree apart, however, is the service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring you have a great experience without ever being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place where you feel so well looked after from start to finish. If you’re looking for fantastic food, great drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, Cherry Tree Bar & Restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be returning”
“We came for Christmas lunch 13 of us. Staff were excellent they were so postive and nothing was a trouble for them. Food came out quick, portions were massive and it was delicious. We will be back! Our favourite at the moment xx”
“Organised a festive menu party of 23. I & others cannot speak more highly of our satisfaction. One or two discrepancies with pre order but probably caused by ourselves with late changes. All amendments resolved without question & with an obliging smile. Food of the highest quality & service exceptional.. sincere thanks to your staff who were a credit to the hospitality sector. See you all again very soon”
“My son has been going here for over a year now, and he loves it!! The girls are amazing with him and his needs. I get updates all the time, they are outside whenever the weather holds up. I love the art that gets sent home and the fact my son is always so happy. Can't thank them all enough for what they've done. I'll be sending my daughter in March 24.100000% recommended x”
