“Found this beauty while on a training course. Did not disappoint. Lovely fresh food served hot and really filling. Staff were great and plenty of room to eat in.”

“Stumbled across after walking the dog on kenfig nature reserve. The food was absolutely STUNNING. I didn't even know this cafe existed until a few days ago, water bowl outside for the dog, staff super friendly! Also you don't see many cafe with disabled access toilets these days!”
“Lovely fried breakfast. Went for the large with an extra egg. Decent value for money. One of the best fry ups in Bridgend (along with Dragon Cafe) They also have a great Thai menu which is fantastic, all of the dishes highly recommended The whole market is air conditioned so great in the summer. Sometimes they close early so opening hours might not be correct.”
“My favourite cafe in Bridgend. Always clean, friendly, amazing service and great food and drink. I pray they alway stay open.”
“Delicious food, very friendly and helpful staff. The steak was very delicious, as was my partners rib rack. The desserts were excellent, plus 40% discount on main meals. Simply can't go wrong.”
“Amazing place brilliant staff would highly recommend coming to learn how to dance”
“GotBoost provided an excellent service, they were able to fix 2 issues for me, one of which proved to be not as simple as first thought. They did an incredibly thorough job and wanted to ensure everything was right. They also provided me with great aftercare too, once again ensure the problem was fixed and everything was working as it should be. The entire crew are incrediblly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.”
“Great place for unique local crafted items and gorgeous art. The home made ice cream is delicious. Received a warm and friendly welcome highly recommend”
“Lovely coffee and home made cornbeef pie and cheese pie. Very welcoming café with such friendly staff. I have been going to Durstons coffee shop at least twice a week for a month or so now, and every time, I am greeted with a warm smile and converse. The owner Becky, is such a wonderful person. She's thoughtful, considerate and genuinely cares about her customers. Becky takes pride in her business and cooks all the food from scratch. This place deserves more praise. There's take away food/drinks, it is a child friendly atmosphere and even has baby changing facilities. They take cash and card with ample parking to the front. Would definitely recommend.”
“Went for the first time last weekend as we've started visiting 'new' spots. Thay that serve breakfast and are dog friendly. After a friend had recommended it. Didn't look promising from outside, but we were wrong very much so. After a 6 x full breakfasts with various personal preferences. Extra sausages ordered for the dogs everyone left full and satisfied. Will definitely be back.”
“Awesome atmosphere and food. Some of the best Sunday dinner had in a long time. Love the old style and history of the pub. Definitely going back!”
“What a little gem , seems a lot of locals use it. I would imagine it gets very busy in summer . The food was excellent ,we had the vegan roll, and vegan carrot cake. , we're vegetarian, but the option looked amazing, and they were so delicious .Coffee was exceptional, too . It's not a massive place , but a lovely outside area, we sat outside as it was sunny and warm ,just looking at the lovely view of the sea. The Staff were lovely too.”
“We decided to have a spur of the moment breakfast and we found Bauhaus! This was our first visit and it won't be the last. Lovely atmosphere with an obvious Jamaican vibe. Devon and staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered a full English cooked breakfast and scrambled egg on toast and this was the first time I had been asked how I liked my eggs scrambled, which was a nice surprise. The food was superb and we both cleared our plates - unusual for me so it must have been good! Highly recommended.”
“Great community pub. Always very welcoming and a good range of beers. Dog friendly.”
“First of all the food is the best food I've ever eaten, the pork belly was delicious. The views are lovely, staff are friendly and the views are great. If we ever visit the same area will be coming again. If you're in the area and need a great place to eat this is it”
“I have been interested in cooling at this place for many years. Whenever I have driven past the car park was always full and when I stopped to talk to somebody they said the food is excellent so I knew it was a place I had to try. The prawn cocktail was very nice and the roll that came with it was so so cute. The Sunday dinner itself was really tasty. They was plenty of veg and lots of meat. The vegetarian mushroom Wellington was really tasty and although looked small was so so filling. I will definitely be going back it was delicious.”
“My first proper tapas experience with friends and must say that it was superb. Really fantastic dishes and great service too. Will definitely return!”
“The food was amazing! The Carbonara was to die for! The garlic bread was the best I've ever had! My partner said his Lasagne was incredible! They are not shy at all with the parmigiano reggiano so it made my day . The icing on the cake was the wonderful staff service! So attentive, and I was even offered a blanket when we went to sit outside after food! Would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back again!”
“This might be a cafe on an estate but don't let that out you off. The food is freshly cooked, well presented by lovely staff and a very friendly atmosphere”
“Even though I've lived in Bridgend for 32 years, I don't venture into the town that often. This was my first time visiting CL and wasn't disappointed by the food or service. It was a Saturday late morning and it was obvious that the place is very popular.”
“This was a fabulous fun filled evening with the locals! We played trivia and had lots of laughs. We won and took home the prize! Leah was a wonderful host and the locals welcomed us Canadians with open arms! Felt right at home!”
“First time visiting here and we will definitely be back! The food was stunning and so filling, you really do get what you pay for. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were super helpful and friendly!”

“This is our second time eating here after recently moving to the area. First time we both had steak and it was faultless, I eat my steak blue and the waitress assured me the chef could do it (I'm always a little hesitant) she was bang on the money it was amazing i could of used a butter knife!!! this time my husband had lasagne and I had the belly pork, yet again it was beautiful. Hats of to the chef!!! All the staff are friendly and happy to help. We will definitely be back to this little gem... definitely recommend it.”
“Called in between buses from Swansea to Porthcawl with change just outside the Charcoal Grill. I ordered the chicken wrap, where the meat is cooked "while you wait", then had a great choice of salad & sauces to add to suit my taste. 10 minute trip to home, so the fact the wrap was covered with foil, kept it warm. I was pleasantly surprised at the Quality & Quantity of the meal - Delicious !!”
“Great place for quality furniture. Also sells kitchenware, ornaments, Welsh gifts, pictures, rugs, a large choice of Yankee candle goods, garden furniture etc. It has a fantastic cafe with wonderful, friendly staff ( including a French chef) and a good menu consisting of freshly made snacks and meals. The desserts and pies are huge and extremely tempting!!”
