Chose of the menu rather than the carvery, then people were walking past and I was beginning to think I may regret foing for a prawn starter, absolutely mouth watering, satisfyingly...... spot on. The main, mixed grill, wow. Piping hot, everything, cooked to perfection I swear Gotdon has some competition!.. Highly recommended for a truly exquisite meal. Thank you to all the staff. “A cute little gem of a cafe to bring a little something to the village! Visited earlier this week as I’ve seen it advertised and thought I’d give it a shot, and what a treat it was!! Loved the cosy vibes upon entry, very friendly staff and an array of food options so you can try something new! The ladies on duty were super friendly and accommodating and made you feel very welcomed. The food was served and tasted beautifully and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend and will definitely be popping down again soon even if it’s a coffee to go!!”

“Drove all the way from Birmingham to try their famous Milk Badam and Rabri Falooda, and must say it was worth the trip. The milk was on point and falooda, while a bit on the sweeter side for me was very nice and authentic in taste. What topped it all was the great service and the uncle at the counter gave us their Punjabi gajarhalwa to try and it was amazing, proper home cooked taste. I would come back just for this!”

Plus 2 pots of coffee, then there were the cakes, yum yum. We were so full we couldn't eat tea lol. Lovely food and lovely service. Thank you for a brilliant afternoon.”

The decor is classy and modern, with a peaceful ambiance and a beautiful glass waterfall feature that really sets the tone. The afternoon tea was a great mix of Indian street food and classic bites – pav bhaji, veg fingers with chips, samosa, papdi chaat, gol guppe, sandwiches, macarons, gulab jamun, and chilli soya. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. The masala chai was a standout – rich, warm, and perfectly spiced. This place served up the most authentic Thai fried rice I've tasted outside of Thailand. I ordered the Thai fried rice with prawns and chicken, and every bite was a perfect balance of flavour and texture. The chicken was tender and succulent, the prawns fresh and juicy, and the rice... absolute perfection—light, fragrant, and cooked just right. Each mouthful brought back memories of traveling through the bustling streets of Bangkok and street stalls and seaside eateries in Phuket. If you're craving real Thai flavour that transports you straight to the heart of Thailand, this dish is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back.”
