“I had a wonderful vegetarian Indian afternoon tea at Uday’s on Dudley Road in Wolverhampton. The decor is classy and modern, with a peaceful ambiance and a beautiful glass waterfall feature that really sets the tone. The afternoon tea was a great mix of Indian street food and classic bites – pav bhaji, veg fingers with chips, samosa, papdi chaat, gol guppe, sandwiches, macarons, gulab jamun, and chilli soya. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-presented. The masala chai was a standout – rich, warm, and perfectly spiced. The service was excellent – the whole team was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A special thanks to Binesh, who made sure everything ran smoothly. A lovely experience all around – I’d definitely recommend it!”

“Following my visit on Saturday night I was surprised that there are so many negative reviews of this place. Further investigation reveals that some of them look a bit suspect with one even posting a picture of a different Le Raj. I haven't been here for around 25 years, for no reason other than I don't go into this part of Gornal very often and so it got overlooked. It would have been again but for Google. I chose it because it was thankfully air conditioned, offered BYOB as well licensed, local and the parking is not too bad either. We had a good time here, the staff are very friendly and the service attentive. The atmosphere was good too, quite busy and very much a locals place but having survived so long given the size of Gornal is testament to them. There was one overly loud table but there usually is. The mandatory (for us) poppadoms and chutney tray were nice, unusually featuring a tamarind dip, I guess mango chutney could be available if requested. We went straight into the mains which we really enjoyed, I had a very flavoursome Syleti Bhuna and the wife had an equally tasty balti which she said was 'gorgeous'. Both were very large portions but the chicken and chicken tikka in each was a fraction dry. The sides were very good, especially and unusually, so were the chips. The prices are reasonable with the specials at around £10.50. We won't be leaving it too long until our next visit.”

“Any negative reviewers of this place wants their head looking at. We’ve ordered here every Saturday or the past couple of years, the food is exceptional and consistent every week, delivery in roughly half an hour. Five stars would recommend!!”

“Drove all the way from Birmingham to try their famous Milk Badam and Rabri Falooda, and must say it was worth the trip. The milk was on point and falooda, while a bit on the sweeter side for me was very nice and authentic in taste. What topped it all was the great service and the uncle at the counter gave us their Punjabi gajarhalwa to try and it was amazing, proper home cooked taste. I would come back just for this!”

“I ordered from here online. When I called the woman who answered the phone was friendly and helpful. I ordered rice and prawn crackers for my brother, and both had good portion sizes and we're good value for money. I also ordered the meal for one, which was incredible. The price was extremely cheap for the mountain of mouth-watering delicious food that I received. It had a great variety, with plenty of quantity. I will definitely be ordering from this fantastic takeaway again!”
