“Took my son down he loved it he loved it although hes just walking but plenty for very young and older children plus toilets right beside the park very handy.”
“A very relaxed and enjoyable meander. For that little bit of fresh air, Cairn Wood was a great option today. Every dog walker we encountered was well mannered and in control of their dog; excellent to see that! We did notice a few dog land mines however; this was a well kept public walk for sure. Several options of which trail you might choose to follow, all marked up well at each junction. The coffee served at Batch (in the car park) served up a decent, and perfectly hot, cup of coffee! The tray bake options are all pretty decent!!”
“Haven't been here for a while and we hit it on a day when luckily enough the tide was out. We were able to reach the island but beware, if the tide has just gone out the causeway can be quite slippery. It gets better as it dries of course. Great scenery but sad to see empty beer cans and plastic bottles way out here as there are plenty of litter bins back at the well kept car park. There are also plenty of seats and picnic tables. Definitely a nice walk but only if the tide is out.”
“Finally visited the last WWT centre I had yet to see. There are the usual attractions for families, an excellent cafe and shop and plenty of hides. Not the best time of year to visit but we saw plenty of waders. Highly recommended if you have any interest in birds and/or little people to keep entertained.”
“Lots of parking and lovely walk along the beach towards the caravan park. Water was warm too!”
“I regularly swim every morning and then go for breakfast in the Cafe. The area is a friendly space and at 9.40am not too busy to get a table. The staff are always helpful at the service counter. Thanks to Sarah and Regan for your "service with a smile"”
“Kiltonga Nature Reserve is a quiet idyll situated just a stones throw from Ards town centre & quite lovely it is to. To go from the hustle & bustle of every day life to this lovely place is a breath of fresh air, you walk around the place with views of trees, the lake & wildlife just enjoying the moment. If you're early enough you also get to enjoy a lovely coffee from The Bean Box run by a nice chap who makes a great coffee (I recommend the flat white!)”
“Great amount of quality 3g pitches. Has toilets and changing rooms.”
“A seaside walkway and recreation area - on the coast with lots of parking. A great place for a short walk and a breath of sea air.”
“Great fun hiring the tennis court for an hour. Friendly staff”
“Great hotel, and I love that it's kid-friendly, with many families with small kids around. Starting with the room, it's a great space. The temperature is perfect – not too hot, not too cold – and it's late October. The restaurant was fine. The food was good, and the staff was great. They had a Halloween event this weekend, and it was the highlight of the hotel. It was just amazing! The kids loved it, and we did too. There was a Halloween disco and then a pumpkin carving with a bouncing castle. Such a great time! I love this event and we will definitely come back for more.”
“Great having pool to ourselves for an hour and good private changing rooms with hot showers...£20 for 4 people for 1 hour...then £2.50 per person above that number...”
