“We attended my grandsons 1st birthday party there . The room was a great venue to hold such an event , there was a small soft play area for toddlers and babies with plenty of seating for parents . We brought a play tunnel and tent to add to the equipment and we decorated the venue with balloons and added themed touches around the room . The bar was well stocked and the service was friendly . We provided our own buffet style food for the guests and they brought their own drinks , so we can't comment on the pubs own food. The pub is not far from surrounding towns and a nice drive out . A great venue to hold a private event or to just pop in for a drink or two .”

“A very warm welcome from staff. Very busy but great atmosphere. Served by Lauren, who was courteous, friendly and efficient, with great customer skills. Nothing was too much trouble. She's a credit to the establishment. Food was served timely, presented well and was delicious, with attention to detail. It was a family birthday celebration, enhanced by a candle on the birthday girl's dessert. All in all, a great experience.”

“Following the refurbishment to try and standardise the layout stock has been much more consistent. Quick response to queues getting busy and rather friendly staff. As with most stores in this chain your more specialised ingredients for oriental cooking are not stocked. This store features disabled bays and pedal bike racks.”

“Second time here and each times it’s been great. Everyone of the staff is so friendly, helpful, and always serving with a smile. Food is class and great tasting food. Will be going back many more times!! Also got 4 pieces of focaccia, that whipped pork fat butter is insane!! 3 starters, 3 roasts, side of cauliflower cheese, half a pint of beer, pint of Coke Zero, and a gin and tonic with tap water was £125.”

“Where to start this gem? From the website, the ordering process was super easy. But the kids loved the look of the food and wanted to go in, so we booked and headed over. Lots of parking near by. Walked into the restaurant and it was a very nice atmosphere. We were greeted quickly, lewis and Minnie went above and beyond throughout our entire visit. The kids were spoken to by each server, which they loved. The food was amazing. The OG Burger is mouth watering good! The pizza's are so moreish! We quickly ordered and the food arrived very quickly. It was cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The owner popped by and asked how we found the food, we told him it was amazing. The kids took interest in the oven, I explained how it worked. But Minnie and the owner got them involved in a pizza making session. It was do heart warming. The kids loved it. The business is run professionally and without any hiccups. The food tastes amazing. They've gained a customer for life now. If it isn't me, it definitely is my kids. Thank you so much to all of the team. What a wholesome and enjoyable experience.”

“Stopped by Ye Olde Black Cross in Bromsgrove and had a genuinely lovely experience. A big shout-out to Blayk, who was behind the bar—his enthusiasm, friendliness, and great energy really stood out. He made everyone feel welcome and engaged brilliantly with both myself and other customers. The pub itself has a warm and friendly atmosphere, decent food, and a fantastic historic touch—a glass-covered well dating back to 1640, which is a really cool feature you don’t see every day. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area—especially if Blayk’s working!”

“This used to be Spice Valley, and I avoided Spice Valley unless friends insisted I went for a birthday celebration. It has been taken over and is totally different and has a name change to reflect this. The food is regional Indian food, cooked to a very high standard and tasty with layers of flavour. I had soft shell crabs for the first time in my 65+yrs' life. They were awesome. If you are a bit adventurous with your food, then I suggest you try them. I then had lamb with Okra (ladies' fingers) and spicy rice. The lamb was lovely and tender, and not tough like it is in some curry houses where they rush the cooking and you get tough chewy lamb. The spicy rice had a touch of heat but was flavoursome and well worth eating. At a lot of Inian/Asian restaurants. I can't be bothered to eat all the meal and take some home in a doggy bag. No chance of that in this restaurant. I polished off the lot. This new venture is well worth supporting, unlike its predecessor. I will be returning.”

“Very cosy setting with lovely staff and customers ✨ I come in every couple of months when I want a chill evening with a cocktail and catch up. I hear all the events are good as well and can imagine it can have a great party vibe as well! Very aesthetic and stunning in the evenings, always keep missing the food but will update once tried as the menu looks great”

“Well, what can I say? From the second we entered we were made to feel like regulars and friends by a fantastic young man. He recommended the seating to be comfortable because i am disabled and a real ale which was delicious. The food was amazing. Piping hot and great quality. I had the sea bass which was beautiful and came with 2 generous fillets and a king prawn sauce with loads of whole prawns in it! My brother in law and my sister had pork belly and 10oz rib eye. He said his was best pork he had ever had and my sis was over the moon with her steak although it was very slighty over medium, which she ordered but it wasnt an issue. All the veg was to die for, fresh and al dente with good bite. We chose the Swallows from a quick google dive for Pauls birthday and were so glad we did. Yes, it is a little more on the pricey side for us but in my book worth every penny especially for a treat. So a big thank you to the amazing staff and we will return.”

“Omg when I say this place is a must for there food I’m not lying the chef Sean’s food is to die for we came in a week or so ago and ordered the gluten free curry and my mother had the chicken and mushroom pie when I say it was absolutely delicious I even told the barmaid to tell the chef for the 2nd time how Fantastic it was after the barmaid took our plates I stayed a little longer had another drink and as I was leaving. I saw the Sean the chef come out the kitchen and i told him again how lovely his food was I came back last week and was greeted by the exact same barmaid who served us prior to my last visit but this time I brought my 2 friends from Shropshire to try his food but unfortunately the kitchen was closed upon arrival as I came a little late in all honesty but we still stayed for drinks and told the lovely barmaid we will bring them back again soon to try his food I didn’t get the barmaids name but she had lots of tattoos very cheerful I’ll be back again soon for another visit”

“I had a lovely time this afternoon. Mom and I went to the restaurant/cafe. The food was lovely, and the staff were very helpful. I had a cake to go, with I had at home with a nice cup of tea. My mother and I also bought some very nice chocolates from the on-site chocolate tear. I also enjoy seeing all glass objects at the glass blowing shop, the ceramics at the pottery shop, and some inspiration art in the art and craft shop. All in all, it was a very enjoyable afternoon.”
