All the cows are beautiful and very well looked after, highlight of my day was snuggling hayley the 4th and taking her for a walk aswell as brushing her. Also got to see the other animals and feed the sheep.Had a great time would definitely recommend.”

We also come for family swim sessions which are good fun, and recently did the clip and climb which was really well run and very much enjoyed.”

“What a lovely little café. The staff were lovely and friendly. I ordered a breakfast and changed a few items and it was really nice. Also had a nice pot of tea with a big cup. Good value for money too. Seating indoor and outdoor. I would visit again. Only thing is the menu up on the wall - the size was small with my poor eyesight but they had plenty of menus on each table to look at!”

“Went for a birthday meal on Tuesday 25th June. We were seated upstairs. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming. The tapas dishes we had were all delicious especially the pork belly each dish were flavoursome had 6 dishes in total between the 2 of us. We also ordered pratas bravas, chorizo, harissa chicken, casa med salad and bread with balsamic and oil. It was very filling so had no room for desert. With the 15% it was well worth it. I was pleasantly surprised how much it was so I recommend going on a Tuesday. This is the place to go for a special occasion.”

“Very nice country pub which has been refurbished and is now under new management. The new team are very friendly and welcoming. The landlord can’t do enough for his customers, everything you ask for is ‘No Problem’. Great customer service. There's a nice log fire and a great selection of real ales at reasonable prices. The only down side is they only serve cold food, but it’s a good selection that goes particularly well with the traditional ales that are on sale. They take party bookings and will put on a buffet to suit the number of guests. I went with my family on Sunday afternoon and everybody enjoyed themselves. The food, drinks, service and atmosphere was great.”

“We had the set meal for two midweek and the meal and service was excellent. The hot and sour soup was a delicious fresh tasting beginning to the feast. The selection of other dishes was very pleasant and good contrasting flavours. I'd certainly recommend Maekong Thai for a relaxed meal. The meal with drinks was £40 each in July 2025 and was excellent value.”

There is a large car park on site, but evenings can get busy. They do accept reservations, and you will be safer to secure your reservation to guarantee a table.”
