“A good section of everything you need under one roof.household goods and furniture and items for children and food items.all items are at a good prices.there is dissabled ♿ access and parking everything is ground floor. Dissabled access entrance and doors.small cafe and toilet. You can buy lights,paint for the home and artist equipment,furniture and light fittings.and much more.last of sweats.”

“The food here is exceptionally good. It’s classic gastropub fare, but made with high-quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Beautifully presented too, with great service and a lovely atmosphere. I didn’t love the vibe upstairs—it felt a bit flat—so I’d recommend asking for a table downstairs to enjoy the open fire, the beautiful architecture, and the buzz.”

“Lovely little 'taproom' of a pub with Halifax Steam brews & decor inside. There's a small car park, and the pub itself is in a shipping container type add on to the brewery. The service is wonderful, kind, and child friendly. Prices & selection are decent & interesting. Would definitely return again, and our daughter loved the quirky fishtank bar. Thank you!”

“Great Chinese. Very friendly & welcoming! Sharon the manager is a breath or fresh air & really goes above & beyond for her customer base! Lovely freshly prepared food. Only gripe is the cost of a portion of noodles, @ £7, they certainly don't cost that much in real life, so a bit of an issue with that one. Overall a great place with great food & a lovely atmosphere. Welldone.”

“Great local pub, however I'm no longer local. Went across at the weekend and it's lost none of its charm. A few bar staff on so easily served. The music was good provided by Steve along with a quiz, which if you wasn't doing the quiz you wouldn't have noticed as it wasn't imposing. The regulars were as friendly as ever. All in all a great visit, highly recommend. It isn't the Ritz, just a really good local pub.”

“Stayed here for the night while myself and Mum saw a concert at peace hall the staff where lovely and welcoming the DJ outside during the day played all the best music and the roast chicken wrap van was a very nice touch. The rooms where clean and the beds where extremely comfortable we will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area Thanks for a great stay”

“Now one of my favourite places in Halifax, the food was lovely. Sometimes there’s live music on a weekend. The owner (I presume) came over and talked to us about our food and how he appreciated us coming in. The staff are lovely! You can tell they’ve put a lot of effort into the place and it’s so welcoming. Be here everyday if I could”

“Another excellent Wetherspooons pub. Was visiting Halifax as a fan of Exeter City Football Club. A long 275 miles, 6-hour coach journey, so refreshments were in order. It's only a short 5-minute walk from the Shay ground. I ordered the Gourmet Buffalo chicken burger meal. £11.92 including a pint of beer. The food was okay. I ordered on the Wetherspoons app, which means you get excellent, speedy service.”

The new addition to the menu, the chicken chilli garlic balti, is absolutely amazing and highly recommended. The Dal Tadka is divine—out of this world when paired with Basmati pilaf rice. I also enjoyed the meat achaari as a side dish, which was equally delicious. Thank you so much, Sultan Mahal Halifax, for a wonderful dining experience!
