“Me and some friends when in on a night out a while back when one of the lads had come back home for a stag night at 11pm and he went out at 9pm so we decide to go out and make are own fun. 5er in each which wasent that bad I though doorman collects it off you and tells you the rules when you come in the girls were friendly , and we felt not pressure to buy drinks or get a dance.”

“Booked this place for friends from out of town and they loved the place. It was cheap and cheerful. Lucas I think was the manager an excellent guy who will attend to your every need. A great place with all amenities walking distance as is the city centre. Cant fault this place at all but could do with a hair dryer but apart from that absolutely spot on. You even have access to Netflix too so definitely wont be bored by watching normal telly. Keep it up guys.”

“This is easily the best YHA I've stayed in. Lovely building, very welcoming and friendly hosts, great food, and licenced to serve alcohol (they stock beers made locally). Wonderful.”

“A fabulously positioned hostel which is clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and produced a superb BBQ and excellent breakfast. A perfect stop off point for any form of hiking or cycling. Go there- you will not be disappointed! “This was a great place to stay with 2 nice lounge areas, one a snug with a wood burner and the other a socal lounge with headphones for silent disco. The location was great and very close to the centre but is up a hill. Rooms were well put together and slept like a log”

“I was attending a wedding and traveled from london so i booked plover cottage as it was near the venue. It is a great place to stay and very clean. The host are friendly and great with communication. I was also able to park right outside the property which was very convenient. Theres also a supermarket and many shops nearby. Overall its a great place and would highly recommend.”

“We had dinner here before going to see the Lion King at The Alhambra. The food was delicious, we had a cold mixed started and a sharing mixed platter followed by some tea afterwards. All of the food was really tasty, I nearly asked for some more bread for the starter, but was glad I didn’t as I wouldn’t have been able to eat as much of the main then! The meat was tender and succulent! Yum.”

“We booked three apartments for far flung family to come together and celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. Everyone was impressed by the standard and cleanliness of the apartments. I was in the Loom suite and the bed and bedding was so comfy - slept like a log. Communication was spot on and my queries were answered quickly, even on Sunday. Apartments are on a main road and parking is down side street but that wasn’t an issue. Train station is about 10 minutes walk in Saltaire - which is well worth a visit. Great wine shop just up the road snd plenty of cafes for that breakfast coffee fix. Will definitely recommend!”

“The Halifax Playhouse is a lovely theatre with lots of charm and heritage behind it. The staff are very welcoming and seats are very comfortable. It's also nice visiting a theatre that allows you to get so close to the actors on stage. It's an intimate venue that we can't wait to see more plays at in the future!”

All the of the staff are so welcoming and so helpful, the owner Nicky even pointed us in the direction of places to visit while we stayed. The bedroom was a great size and well equipped, it was our first visit but won't be out last.”
