“The most owners are so friendly, they do the best coffee in leeds , absolutely fantastic!. I go when I can , it is part of my cycling route and I just can’t pass without having a beautiful coffee, service is quick. Lovely atmosphere. Great coffee cafe.”
“Cinderella.. Brilliant and funny. The Bradford play house is a good. well done everyone that was in the show.”
“Fantastic hotel with outstanding staff. Just a note if you visit during warmer weather there is no air con on the 1st floor, not a criticism just worth bearing in mind. The staff make this hotel perfect as they are so attentive and helpful.”
“I was very happy to use their services, they are true professionals and my stay was so pleasant thanks to them. The prices are really decent and the comfort and cleanliness they provide in the apartments are perfect; plus, the apartments look just amazing. The staff were always kind and helpful and very quick and efficient in solving any of my requests. I will definitely use their services again in the future and I truly recommend them.”
“Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️”
“What a find!! We only stayed the one night however, we hope to return and stay longer and explore the area. Our room was lovely, clean, tidy, well decorated and with the river right by our window a relaxing sound before falling asleep. With the kitchen area on display it was nice to see where your breakfast was prepared. The breakfast choice was varied and expertly cooked. Decor throughout was tasteful for type and age of the building. Trevor, the owner, was so polite and had a great sense of humour, he was a right laugh. A real gem of a find is Over the Bridge. Highly recommend!!”
“Just returned from an excellent weekend at Hewenden Mill Cottages. The owners, Mr and Mrs Emmanuel, have thought of everything to make their cottages real homes from home. Good welcome breakfast with milk, cereal, toast, butter, jams, juice, tea and coffee (instant but a plunger is there if you prefer ground coffee). Very well equipped kitchen so lovely for cooking. Oil, salt and pepper there. We were in number 9 which was very comfortable, good linen, comfy sofas, downstairs loo, warm and cosy retreat from storm Deirdre's the freezing rain. Lots of space for hanging coats, a torch, umbrellas, smart TV. Really couldn't fault it and we will definitely return when visiting nearby family - and hopefully for more than a weekend. So much to explore still...”
“This is easily the best YHA I've stayed in. Lovely building, very welcoming and friendly hosts, great food, and licenced to serve alcohol (they stock beers made locally). Wonderful.”
“Do you love nature and the beauty of natural England, Blakedean is perfect for you next adventure conveniently situated in the Pennine hills next to winding streams neighbouring NT hardcastle crags close to Hebden bridge, Todmorden and Burnley. This place is perfect for scouts, Guides and Duke of Edinburgh groups. The coatings are well places and offers great value for money. Highly recommend.”
“Outstanding, tasty food, served by very friendly and attentive staff, who were happy to give advice about the dishes on offer. The prices were very reasonable, given the very high quality of the food and the excellent ambience. Will definitely use again on any future visit to the lovely, welcoming town of Hebden Bridge.”
“The new owner Pakeezah, has introduced a fantastic menu that, in my opinion, suits everyone. I had the best Turkish Eggs that I have tasted. Perfectly cooked poached eggs with just the right amount of spice. The coffee is great, and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The cafe has had a freshen up, with new seating and tables inside and plenty of seating outside for the finer weather. Dog friendly, at the Bowling Hall Road entrance to Bowling Park, with plenty of free parking nearby.”
“Lovely views of the ponds and the canal from our rooms. The rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are comfy.”
“Very Friendly staff .Good place for meeting people and plenty of activities, also serves meals, coffees and cakes .”
“The food here is exceptionally good. It’s classic gastropub fare, but made with high-quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Beautifully presented too, with great service and a lovely atmosphere. I didn’t love the vibe upstairs—it felt a bit flat—so I’d recommend asking for a table downstairs to enjoy the open fire, the beautiful architecture, and the buzz.”
“Had a very pleasant stay at Windmill Court Hotel. The room was cosy and clean. The food was old-fashioned and hearty. The staff were friendly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Gillian, who runs the hotel, is a lovely lady. Would certainly stay again.”
“We had a great stay and a great meal that evening. Can't fault anything. Lovely big spacious room with great views and a really comfortable bed. Fantastic meal in a lovely environment in the restaurant. And all of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly.”
“Called in for a quick bite to eat, lovely little restaurant. Reasonable prices, service was a little slower than other places but staff friendly. Food was lovely”
“We used the bistro 197 for a family wake. Everything was just perfect, amazing food ! Friendly staff that couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommend !”
“Just watched on 4 in a bed, what an amazing place, homely, clean and lovely hosts.”
“I recently dined at this restaurant and it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were welcoming and attentive. The menu offered a wide range of delicious options, all prepared to perfection. The presentation of each dish was beautiful and the flavors were expertly balanced. The ambiance of the restaurant was elegant yet comfortable, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was impressive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-notch culinary experience. It truly deserves a 5-star rating.”
“Whoa!! Thier curry is on point. We got the lamb chops and tikka masala with garlic Naan. Probably the best I ever had in the UK. If I lived close I'd come 3 times a week. Mmm so good. Asim the waiter was awesome as well. Thanks guys”
“Great place to stop for delicious cakes and excellent coffee as well as a range of light meals, can certainly recommend the bacon sandwiches! Helpful staff who took time to help with our dietary requirements. We were able to find a good choice of food for people with food allergies. Good place to go with children. Dog friendly too, our dog was very happy with the dog treats! Pleasant sitting out area. Close to Saltaire. Very convenient for a stopping place on any of the lovely walks around the area.”
“Gorgeous little place had everything we needed. Dog friendly too. Lovely staff. Great food freshly made. Good selection of drinks & cakes, we had Manchester tart, delicious.”
“Though I've only visited the grounds, the atmosphere is stunning and the few interactions I had with the staff were fantastic. They were professional and welcoming. Based on what I've seen, this looks like a truly great place to stay and dine in Halifax.”
“last-minute (typical male) search for a Valentine’s night getaway led me to a place in the center of Haworth that was booked within seconds. Then, I came across this little gem, full of surprises. My take on it: a great place nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire hills. I visited during the coldest time of the year. From the first call I made to the moment I left, I was impressed. The lady who answered the phone quickly confirmed availability, and Karen (a lovely lady I met outside) has kept the place spotless for over ten years. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression, and they nailed it. We stayed in the Charlotte Room, which featured light grey wallpaper with peacocks etched into it, beautiful beams, and a cozy ambiance. The room included a sauna, and I enjoyed a swim as well. It was excellent value for money. The pub was equally fantastic—despite being Valentine’s night, they managed to fit us in last minute. The meals—both breakfast and dinner—were generous portions, and the service was warm and attentive. To summarize, it was a refreshing change; in a world where things often don’t live up to expectations, this exceeded mine. A couple I met by the pool mentioned they had visited three times—that says it all! Highly recommended. When leaving the car, we unfortunately had a small mishap. i.e., it didn’t start, bit of a conundrum. We tried to start the car, and with the cold weather, it refused. Rang AA and went to a local pub. Hati, a waitress, was super helpful and suggested we get a hot chocolate and some Biscoff biscuits. She invited us in to sit by the fire. To some observers, this may have appeared small, but in the throws of one of Bradford’s most desperately cold winters, it was so welcome and so appreciated. Thanks to all, and big thanks to Karen, who attempted to help us jump-start the car with leads from her car to ours. Our only downside was we had to get home and missed out on shopping in the charity shops and some of Haworth’s shops, so it felt a bit curtailed. But it was our Valentine’s break, and my treat is getting to share time with Carolyn, my girlfriend, incidentally truly my greatest find.”
“All was great!! Apart from self catering kitchen size! It should be double!!!! Cannot imagine how crowded it must be when hostel is fully booked. Thanks a lot!! Definitely recommending.”
“This is a impressive old building standing in immaculatey kept grounds. There are a range of restaurants holding AA rosettes up to Michelin star awards. We had lunch in Fletchers restaurant where the food and service was first class.”
“Popped in for lunch. Service was excellent as was the food. I had deep fried goats cheese with beetroot to start, this was delicious, the cheese was in a really crispy coating. For the main I had a calzone pizza which was lovely and came with a slightly spicy tomato sauce in a separate pot. Prices seemed very reasonable. Will definitely return as there were a large number of dishes on the menu that sounded appetising.”
“Very good serviced apartment. Cleanly maintained room. It has almost every item which would be needed for usual daily life.”
“I had some time to kill between the hotel kick out time and the event I was going to so I thought I would go exploring, with my camera in hand. What an absolute find Manor Heath Park was! Watching the wildlife playfully flitting about, seeing a wide array of fabulous doggos, and being surrounded by a plethora of beautiful flowers was just an ideal way to spend my Sunday morning. I can only imagine how beautiful it all looks when fully in bloom come spring time. I would highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.”
