I didn’t love the vibe upstairs—it felt a bit flat—so I’d recommend asking for a table downstairs to enjoy the open fire, the beautiful architecture, and the buzz.”

“Lovely little 'taproom' of a pub with Halifax Steam brews & decor inside. There's a small car park, and the pub itself is in a shipping container type add on to the brewery. The service is wonderful, kind, and child friendly. Prices & selection are decent & interesting. Would definitely return again, and our daughter loved the quirky fishtank bar. Thank you!”

“Halal chicken! Highly recommended! My son loves pizza and we found this amazing pizzeria inside the Market. Small but mega place. The menu is quite extensive, but we knew that we wanted magarhita, when we learnt the chicken is halal we bought cheese and chicken dough balls and chicken Pasta! Really nice to have a San Pellegrino Limonata with it all. We ate inside. The customer service was great. The young lady was really helpful and served us with a smile. It was a little cramped but that added to the atmosphere of the place. My 4yr old son ate 2 slices which is loads for him and we took the spare pizza home! We're very satisfied! I'm not from Halifax, but we'll defo be coming back for its price, service and taste!”

Was offered a complimentary garlic bread to start which was lovely.. within 30mins of arriving the place was packed and buzzing with customers. Total bill came to £60 with tips and that included wine. Such good value for money. RECOMMEND 5* Love this place. Amazing staff and owners.. colourful restaurant and above all amazing food. “Currently staying the night here with my partner just to get away from home and it’s been lovely from the minute we arrived. Such a nice little country pub. All the staff are all so welcoming and attentive and especially have been during our meal, despite them being so busy. Our food was gorgeous and so reasonably priced. The room is lovely and comfortable and it’s so nice to not have to leave the building to have a nice stay. We’ve ended up booking breakfast for the morning too. “A group of 5 friends, we went this afternoon on a bottomless menu - £35 pp with mocktails and soft drinks included. Although there was a power cut when we arrived and waited half an hour in candlelight it was still a fab afternoon with plenty of food that was very tasty. Staff were really friendly and approachable and I am looking forward to going again!”
