βWonderful staff and the usual patronage / regulars are all incredibly welcoming and full of humor. Not one macro brewery to be found. All local-ish microbrews from really incredible breweries. When I return to England, even if I'm staying far from Kemptown I'm definitely popping by Hand In Hand again. Amazing!!!β
βCame here 3 times in one day, fantastic cocktails, staff was suoer friendly and just a nice pub all roundβ
βSuch an excellent night! The music was so nastalgic and everyone had a great time! The bar staff were lovely aswell. I would defo recommed!β
βHad a great visit at Yori! Ed was so lovely and made everything feel really easy and comfortable. He had such a welcoming vibe the whole time and it honestly made the visit even better. Definitely recommend :)β
βLucy and Sienna are the best girls!! Made me feel welcome as it was my first time.β
βGreat bar with great views, not too expensive either. Great drag show there, Mrs Moore was superb! And George at the bar was friendlyβ
βKamal is our favourite curry place. We don't order from anywhere else now because it is always disappointing! If we fancy curry on a Tuesday when they are shut we either bite the bullet and cook or get a completely different cuisine! Totally recommend them!β
βQuite literally one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Certainly not one of the cheapest, but no questioning the value for money. The service from the staff is amazing, largely due to it being a family business. Visited for my birthday and took a sharing menu with wine tasting and every course was utterly sublime, each beating the last. The wine pairings were also beautiful and well described and explained by the staff. I cannot recommend enough coming to try this restaurant. I will 100% be back in the future!!β
βThis time we tried the choripΓ‘n with spicy chimichurri β it was amazing! We also grabbed two alfajores de maicena to go. This place is a must-stop if you're in Brighton.β
Situated on bustling Preston Street in Brighton, Betsy's is a charming local restaurant offering fresh, locally sourced food in a cozy setting. The vibrant venue provides a welcoming dining atmosphere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu presents a variety of dishes including artisanal burgers, hand-crafted pizzas, meatball linguine, and crispy fries. Morning visitors can enjoy generous breakfast options, while traditional Sunday roasts are served on weekends. A well-curated beverage menu features signature cocktails, wines, and soft drinks to complement every dish.
βAbsolutely phenomenal! We had the spring tasting menu for our first wedding anniversary and every course was incredible. How this place does not have a star yet amazes me but it can't be far away. By far the best restaurant we have been to in Brighton and we will definitely come again! ~ Max and Emmaβ
βFantastic experience. Really good service and amazing food. The quality was exceptional. We had the lunch menu. It was excellent and great value for money. Already looking forward to our next visit. Many thanks to the manger who was very friendly and welcoming.β
βVery popular and for all the right reasons: great food - including very good value set lunch, genuinely friendly and attentive service. It's not a very big restaurant and can get very busy a lunchtime - a good idea to book in advance.β
βWe visited this restaurant for a meal as part of a hen do, and it was absolutely perfect! I had the vegan moussaka, which was amazingβone of the best I've ever had. Everyone in our group loved their food too; everything was delicious. The decor is so cute and really made us feel like we were on holiday. The staff were incredibly lovely and made our evening even more special. Highly recommend!β
βThis is by far the best and most authentic Thai food I have experienced in the UK! My wife is half Thai and has lived there and even she was amazed at some of the dishes available here that we haven't found anywhere else except Thailand itself. Its a BYOB, which we didn't mind at all. There is a corkage fee but it wasn't over the top by any means. The staff were lovely and were very quick to accommodate anything we asked for, including things like providing small bowls so we could share a larger soup like a starter and other random requests. If you are a fan of Asian food or especially Thai food and can get over to this restaurant I cannot recommend it enough! The venue is small, however, so it's best to book in advance as there's no guarantee you could get a table otherwise.β
βI am so happy that Tunbridge Wells has a great Persian restaurant! Absolutely loved the food. Extra points for having delicious vegetarian options! And the desserts are to die for. Highly recommend.β
βWe had a takeaway and it was delicious. Generous portion and obviously freshly made. We will be back!β
βI've lived in South India on and off for 30 years and when I'm back here, have always missed proper southern food. I've even travelled to Croydon just to eat idli when the missing has got too bad. These people make extravagantly good proper southern food. If you know this food, I guarantee you that here you've found the real thing. If you've never tried it, get in and eat! My favourites.....vada with a cup of tea in the afternoon; idli sambar for brunch with a side of coconut sambal; string hoppers and chickpea curry for teatime; paratha and chicken lollipop as late night munch.β
βCame here because I walked past exploring the area while visiting for the day and could smell the food being prepared was instantly drawn to the pub. It was starting to get busy and most tables were booked but I was able to grab a space and enjoy a really good fish finger sandwich. Didnβt take long to come out, the chips were banging, the sandwich it self was one of the best fish finger sandwiches Iβve had! The tomato sauce was delicious and I found out it was homemade, tasted like a tomato soup (in my opinion). Good service, lovely people who work here and the atmosphere of the people here a good time. Definitely come if youβre heading to Hastings or if youβve live here and looking for something new.β
βLovely evening. We had the steak and lamb chops... both were lush.β
βWe went there for lunch on a Friday. We had made a booking, but it wouldn't have been necessary. We got the lunch menu, which at Β£35 per person and the quality of the food is great! They started us off with bread and butter, which was delicious. The bread was sourdough bread, and had a really nice and deep flavor with a sour hint to it. As a starter, we got the ravioli filled with salmon. The pasta itself was nicely cooked, the filling was delicious with the right amount of salmon, and the accompanying sauce acidic to break through the richness of the ravioli. As a main we got the Gilt-Head Bream with gnocchi. The fish was crispy, but its flesh cooked just right, flaky and tender. The gnocchi were light and cloud-like. For dessert we got the cheese, and although it's not a dish that they have made themselves, the Montgomery Cheddar was a nice way to end the meal. Service was impeccable: friendly and at the right pace. Moreover, at the end Chef Duncan himself came up to check on us and see how we enjoyed the meal, which was a nice touch. Next time I visit Brighton I'll try to make a point to try to have dinner at the Little Fish Market.β
βServe a lovely English breakfast here. Had a lovely time with family and friends.β
βHidden gem by the beach! The coffee is delicious and the freshly made doughnuts, melt in your mouth- it's amazing! Super friendly staff and service to your table. It was a lovely experience with perfect views.β
βGenuinely maybe the best 3 course meal I've ever had, booked the function room for a surprise 30th and was genuinely unbelievable. We had Riccardo (might be slightly wrong) but couldn't have asked for any more. It is slightly on the more expensive side but one million % worth it if you want the full experience. Food and service both 10/10β
βWe had the best night out here! Fantastic pub, great drinks and service!β
βWonderful food, excellent friendly service, quiet atmosphere but there was a wet storm blowing outside! We loved the vegan options - extremely tasty and varied - the vegan chorizo is fabulous!β
βGreat pub, friendly staff and really good beer. And of course THAT Banksy. Love the other wall art outside as well. Was only there on a flying visit and wished I'd stayed longerβ
βExcellent pub, great British food done well. Great pint of Harveyβs and wonderful atmosphere. Exactly what was needed after a day walking in the South Downs. Was only in the area for a couple days but would make effort to revisit in the future.β
βShafiques is THE best Indian restaurant/takeaway out there. Me and my partner frequent Shafiques for every occasion, every chance we get! My family loves the food and they always say there is never a single fault! This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars, itβs our absolute favourite! The staff are all so friendly as well which makes the dining experience even better! Not a single bad thing about this place! Would recommend time and time again!β
βOutstanding by every measure. The picture of a self-made success, from the story printed on the menu to seeing the owner come through the door with groceries - she even came to chat for a bit, an absolutely charming lady. I ordered huge fried king prawns on a bed of rice. The portion was massive, prawns were plentiful and delicious, perfect crisp and taste. Rice was sweet and mixed with prawn bits perfectly. Others at ther table ordered all sorts, noodles and rice and vegetables each, and all of them were hugely portioned, delicious, and kept us fed the whole day. I can't believe how lucky I am to have this place so close to my house.β
