“We used Church Village Travel for a trip to Ibiza recently for a wedding. We needed a decent hotel - Bed & Breakfast - nice pool etc. They gave us four options, from which we chose one. It was excellent and just what we wanted. Service from CVT was amazing. No need for us to have the hassle of check in for our boarding passes as they had done that for us. Transfers? All done. Polite nudges when required for us to pay the remainder of the invoice. If you use CVT you won’t be dissatisfied or disappointed- they are first class, and we highly recommend them because of that.”

After finishing food, I unintentionally left my pizza takeaway box in the restaurant which got binned. The waitress immediately apologised when I returned to collect my pizza, realising I have forgotten it. Franco Manca made me another pizza, free of charge. I really appreciated this, would definitely recommend others to come.”

“£16 for the special halloumi and chicken burger with chips. Usually I expect either a small burger, or a small portion of chips. I have a big appetite and this portion was HUGE! The chicken fillet in the burger was massive, and the rosemary sea salt chips where perfectly seasoned and so crunchy. Lunch time special can get a single smash burger with the chips and a lemonade for just over a tenner. About £12 to double up (my cousin had that) Huge value for a filling meal, and it was really tasty as well.”

The staff are super lovely, the GM is incredibly professional and attentive, the food is fantastic I'm such a sucker for the pizzas and the portions are incredible for what you're paying! The playlist is great too. It's clean and well looked after. It's definitely a buzzing atmosphere on match days too! Always the first place I recommend to anyone visiting! And the beer selection is the best in Cardiff, I'm always discovering new beers I love, and there's a good rotation so I can try something new frequently! Weekly live music as well which is always fun to change up the night.”

“Everything about The Botanist is lovely. The staff, food, atmosphere, and a big emphasis on the drinks. Monday through Friday from 4 to 7pm you can enjoy happy hour, I certainly did. With a nice price and a 2 for 1 deal, you certainly get all the drinks you need. I was there celebrating a family members birthday and they went above and beyond, including a decorative dessert board. The hanging kebab you’ll find no where else, it definitely doesn’t disappoint. This is a perfect place to have some nice photos at your table or the bar with its greenery and low lighting. Be mindful of all the steps (there is an elevator). The staff are also very understanding about arriving a few minutes late to your reservation time. Definitely make a reservation if possible. Earlier in the evening you should necessarily need one, but better safe than sorry to miss out.”
