“Ate here tonight and initially seated near a very loud group of women. We asked to be moved and were quickly accommodated further away (and followed by another couple also moving away). The loud group were soon asked by the waiting staff to moderate their volume (some of the language being unpleasant), which was done very politely and professionally. The group eventually decided to leave which meant the atmosphere improved considerably. It was a delicate situation for the staff which was admirably handled. Meanwhile- we ordered our food and wine- lovely meals- a great choice on the menu, large portions, very tasty and fresh. The wine was beautiful. A great place for a delicious meal with excellent staff. We will return.”

“I had a brilliant experience at Pesto at the Axe & Compass. The food was absolutely spot on full of flavour, fresh, and really well presented. The service was just as impressive; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit feel welcoming. “First, the atmosphere is brilliant!! They’ve recently done up the interior again, and it looks better than ever. Music is calm and fitting - nothing offensive. Food-wise, i’m never disappointed. The portions are generous and quality is consistent. Theres also some cooked options for those of you not so keen on trying the raw stuff.. Drinks are lovely too. They do a nice white chocolate matcha, but if thats not your thing then i recommend a taro or original milk tea. Cant go wrong really.. Overall i think its a really nice and cosy dining experience. Feels so inviting and homey - especially on such cold or rainy days - and the customer service is top. Perfect for small families, good friends, cute dates, or even on your own.”

“Some of the best food you can find in Coventry City Centre. Everytime I visit I try a different meal and they all taste amazing. Spicy Beef and Katsu Chicken are my favourites, but even the pork and fish dishes are brilliant too and all dishes are reasonablypriced. I've not tried the octopus balls yet but it's on my list.”

“A cozy pizza place with quirky art and many vegetarian options I had a vegetarian meal at this pizza place and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of food. The restaurant has a cozy and pleasant atmosphere, with quirky and funny art pieces on the walls that made me smile. Firstly, I ordered the chargrilled vegetable pizza, which had peppers, onions, mushrooms, and aubergine on a crispy crust. The pizza was served on a wooden chopping board, which gave it a rustic feel. The onions were nicely caramelized and the cheese was pleasantly strong. Secondly, I ordered the jalapeño poppers, which were cheese-filled peppers coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. The jalapeño poppers were crunchy and cheesy, but they were not spicy at all, which I was surprised about. I expected them to have some kick to them. Thirdly, I ordered a mock Pina colada as a drink, which was a change from my usual latte. The mock Pina colada was refreshing and creamy, with a fruity taste of pineapple and coconut. It was definitely a worthy substitution. The service was friendly and fast, and the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this pizza place and I would recommend it to anyone who loves pizza and quirky art. It’s a great place to have a fun and relaxing meal with friends or family.”

“Stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday. The menu is easy to read and gives an explanation of each dish. I ordered the LA Galbi with boiled rice, which had a great bulgogi flavour. The meat was leaner than what I find in most restaurants, and because of this, it was not too greasy, which was quite pleasant. The onions underneath the Galbi were a little bit undercooked to my liking but still a compliment to the dish, being quite mild in flavour. The other dish I ordered was the Agedashi Tofu. The sauce was more sour and vinegar based than what I was expecting, but I have never eaten this dish before, so it could just be how it is. The tofu itself was nicely fried and light in texture. The rice and green tea were standard to what you'd expect from a restaurant with 4.5 star reviews. The service was polite and pleasant without being overbearing. I will be visiting again to try other dishes on the menu.”

“I liked this for the excellent pizzas we got and how cheap they were! Only a fiver for a Margherita with a choice of veggie toppings. The staff were really friendly and whilst it's very much for students that doesn't rule out families or if you want a quick, simple bite to eat. The beers looked pretty good too, with Brew Dog on offer in cans. I think upstairs is the best location but the basement where we were was fine.”

“Birthday celebration dinner. Amazing pub. Loved the ambiance, busy with a friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious with great menu choice. I had sea bass, cooked to perfection with lots of veg and hasselback potatoes. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Prawn cocktail was really good. Portion sizes just right. Only one of us disappointed, no steak and ale pie. Service was excellent. All food reasonably priced. We'll definitely visit again. Would strongly recommend going here.”

“Went to Selminas for lunch and it was absolutely delicious as per usual! They have changed their menu a bit since the last time I ate there, but I have no complaints. The portion sizes are more than enough, and the cocktails are pleasing to the eye and the tummy! Service was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. We waited a bit longer than others there, but our food was fresh and delicious so well worth the wait. I literally cannot find a fault anywhere x”

“A must when in Coventry! We loved everything about this place - from the homemade ginger beer to the mango salsa to the fall off the bone beef! Bonus - all the meats are halal! Would definitely come here again! Would highly recommend the Big Mac combo! Best Caribbean food I have ever tried!
