“I was visiting Barnes with my kids to explore the lovely Wetlands site, and my 15-year-old discovered this amazing café-bakery on Instagram, The Base, right in the heart of the village. OMG, what a find! The place is beautiful, the food absolutely delicious, and the prices are great value. I wish we had somewhere like this where I live! The friendly waiter told us that all the breads and cakes are made in-house, and even their coffee is roasted on-site. You can really taste the difference. “I went into the shop today and asked about laser hair removal, i managed to get a consultation the same day! (Amazing). During the consultation, I spoke about what I wanted and I was actually advised I didn’t need hair removal, but a different treatment, when going over the new treatment, I asked if it was ok to think about it, as it was more money then I could afford at the moment with being on maternity leave, the staff memeber (I’m sorry, I forgot her name) was lovely about it and understood my situation, she made no judgement and then continued to answer all my questions. When I go back to work and have more funds, I will definitely be going back to get the recommended treatment. From my short experience, I can say the staff were friendly and the reception and treatment rooms were immaculate.”

“Always go there to get my hair cut. I imagine its a similar price to everywhere but service is friendly and always sparks a converstaion. Since writing about my experience several years ago I still go to Leon's and both my sons do now aswel, even though we've moved since we all still go. New staff there now and they are great with the kids. They have a car the kids have their hair cut in so it interests them more to go.”
