As it was my birthday, I had signed up for Club Bistrot Pierre, which gifted me a free bottle of wine. We opted for the red, and it was a lovely addition to the meal. On top of that, the app offered a free bread side, which was absolutely delicious—fresh, hot, and paired with amazing butter that melted perfectly. The six courses were well-paced and thoughtfully curated. My favourite dish was the Camembert cheese with bread—rich, gooey, and indulgent. The full menu for the evening included: 1. Vegetable tortellini – A light yet flavourful start. 2. Baked Camembert – Absolute perfection with the bread. 3. Cod with potatoes – Cooked beautifully, simple yet satisfying. 4. Eton Mess-inspired dessert – Sweet, airy, and refreshing. 5. Cheese board – A well-balanced selection of cheeses. 6. Hot drink – A comforting end to a great meal (I didn’t take a photo of the tea) For the quality and variety of food, £26.95 per person felt like an absolute bargain. “Wanted to try something new so me and the mrs went to this lovely establishment. Greeted as soon as you walk in, friendly, very welcoming. The food was amazing. Will deffo go again and I recommend this to anyone! Even if you don’t like fish, they have a vegetarian option! Plenty of drinks to choose from. I had the strawberry milk tea with cherry balls and a grape juice with grape balls. My Mrs had chocolate milk tea with chocolate balls. Absolutely unreal!”
