“Amazing bookstore with wide collections! Has a large area for reading and a small cafe inside. Located in a beautiful historical building.”
“My favourite cafe in Edinburgh! A perfect spot to sit to work or relax with a cake and coffee. Krem Karamel Cafe & More is a brilliant spot to stop by, especially if you're visiting the Royal Botanical Garden. It is a bit on the pricier side but the cakes are amazing and the atmosphere is so cute. It has lots of windows inside which brights the place up and they have lovely menu options along with a plethora of cakes to decide from. Its always hard to pick! They have very cute items for sale too at the back of the shop and at the front they have a little box of creations (earrings and pins) made by a young girl in Istanbul. I love seeing the cafe support a young independant creator, her work is so lovely and was excited to not only bring home a cute set of earrings but also to be able to help her jewelry making endeavors. Her Instagram is pera.craft. The cafe also seem to sell their cakes (if I am not mistaken) to other cafes around Edinburgh- so surely they are one of the best! So if you are looking for the perfect place to stop for a slice of cake and great atmosphere, definitely make the walk to Krem Karamel Cafe & More. (A beautiful walk from city center as well, and you can also take some of the trails around Edinburgh from other spots to find yourself there as well!) Also the bathroom was very clean and large. A good place to spot for a coffee and use the restroom if walking through the city.”
“Great shop with a fab selection of goods. I visit weekly to post using EVRI machine. Staff always helpful and friendly. Keep up the good work! Thank you!”
“Popped in recently, Staff were very friendly! They helped me with everything. Flemings is a true hidden gem if you want Well priced Furniture, Ornaments and Misc Decorations. Would recommend a visit, they have a coffee shop which is great too.”
“Happened upon this by chance. Small and so welcoming. We had homemade soup (tomato n herbs) with bread. Beautifully served and very tasty. As far as I'm aware everything is homemade. Not a large menu but well thought out choices. Great coffee - one of the best macchiatos I've had in a long time. Great service and very patient, friendly staff. Will definitely go back.”
“Great shop with a wide range of products displayed. It's a mini supermarket. New owners are fantastic and helpful. Defo recommend!”
“Amazing service! The staff were very kind and welcoming. The place also had comfortable spots to sit and get some work done, which made it even better. Highly recommend this branch!”
“Had a great experience at the store today. The team was completely courteous, patient, and genuinely warm. I was impressed by the high quality of the goods and the very reasonable pricing. Best of all, the customer service was excellent. Everyone I interacted with was kind and professional, and I especially appreciated the support from Michelle at the till, Jamie, and the store manager — also named Michelle — who were particularly attentive. They made me feel welcome and seemed truly happy in their work. Thank you all!”
“Relaxing and welcoming place to sit and look through books until there is one that has to be brought home”
“Great place to shop, to donate, and to volunteer!”
“Very kind hearted people, also having a good delivery service around the area.”
“Completely underrated coffee shop. It's peaceful, clean, the coffee is good and the staff are lovely. The cakes aren't bad either but there's not a huge selection. If you're looking for a quiet coffee, this beats Starbucks, Costa and Nero hands down.”
“Always open early with a friendly good morning”
“The best corner shop in Scotland”
“Really great Customer Service yesterday. I read the price wrong but the manager honoured it as he recognised it was confusing. Picked up some great Christmas presents.”
“A great little convenience store just minutes from the guesthouse I was staying while in Edinburgh. The store is well stocked, the prices are fair, and the owner was very kind and helpful. After learning the stones in Craigh na Dun (Outlander) are fictional and I would not be passing through them, but indeed taking the plane back home after all, I left Ms Yusef some crystals and gemstones in appreciation of our interactions.”
