“Lovely warm & cosy place with rustic wood deco. The seating is bar style & booth. Service was fast & staff were friendly. Had the croissant, warmed. It was flaky & tasty. The fruit scone with butter & jam was also good. Had the jam been homemade & runny, it would have been better. Latte was also good.”

“Happened upon this by chance. Small and so welcoming. We had homemade soup (tomato n herbs) with bread. Beautifully served and very tasty. As far as I'm aware everything is homemade. Not a large menu but well thought out choices. Great coffee - one of the best macchiatos I've had in a long time. Great service and very patient, friendly staff. Will definitely go back.”

“The Lodge Coffee House – A Caffeinated Trip into the Surreal Nestled in the caffeinated underbelly of Edinburgh lies The Lodge Coffee House, a stone sanctum where time sips itself backwards and espresso machines hum ancient jazz riffs. Upon entering, we were greeted by Mick, a man forged from equal parts kindness, bacon, and 80's nostalgia. Like a caffeinated Gandalf, he emerged from the steam with eyes full of welcome and hands full of bacon barms. He threw them at us, not aggressively, but like a benevolent goblin flinging gifts at chosen mortals. The coffee.... the coffee. Brewed by a barista who may have once been a shaman, the flat white shared secrets. The atmosphere, like being hugged by a velvet bear in a log cabin built by monks who understand everything. We had a chat with Mick about life, meat, and the nature of gravy. At one point, he levitated slightly while describing his sausage procurement strategy. The location is prime, trees bowed politely as we sipped. In short, The Lodge is not just a coffee house. It’s a mystical experience wrapped in cured meat and friendliness. Five out of five cosmic beans. Would definitely go again.”

“Great experience, the cafe is very ricked away, and to its benefit, the whole place has a calm ans casual atmosphere that can be a bit hard to get in Edinburgh during the Fringe. I loved everything I got, and my dog enjoyed his pup cup and treats, as well as the calm atmosphere... Which he broke for a momment with a single high pitched bark for attention... Sorry about that!”

“Cannot fault this buisness, Excellent work customer service was as should be, drove in with my car they had a look and gave me a cost that simple. They were busy but kept me informed, if your a busy business you're clearly good at your profession. I was happy to wait until the next available slot knowing my car was in good hands, I was recommended DH from a friend who had had work on there car completed by them. “Fantastic service and product from Andrew and the team. We ordered a full set consisting of dining table, benches, nest of tables, TV unit, and a console table. We were only looking for a dining table! After seeing the quality and passion that goes in to these bespoke pieces, we knew we needed the set. “We were in Bathgate to collect something and we were starving. We were going to walk past, but decided to go in. What a gem of a place. 2 double rolls and 2 cappuccinos later we were satisfied. That staff were so cheerful, nothing was too much trouble and table service too. We always support local businesses wherever we go. May I say that 1 of the previous reviews said that it is expensive for a coffee, no it's not, to be able to sit at a table, have your order taken, your order brought out to your table and all for under £15, I would rather pay that than stand in a queue, be treated like cattle and have my coffee from a paper cup, just to save a few pennies. I would highly recommend The Coffee Club in Bathgate. Thank you guys for a great brunch.”
