“I am leaving a five star review for the front receptionist (Amy) at sighthill campus. On more than one occasion this wonderful lady has helped me. But today especially, she has shown me great kindness beyond her job description, she supported me through the application process and even read over my personal statement. I confined in Amy, told her of recent events that occurred in my life that I have been struggling with. She was very understanding and always checking to see if I was okay while filling in my application at college today. I am incredibly grateful for the kindness and support this woman showed me today. Thank you lots Amy! P.s this woman deserves a raise!”

“As a whole the building is a great place to stay. The rooms are very spacious and meet the standard of student accommodation. The building manage and receptionist is a great addition to the building as she is very helpful and someone you can go to with any concerns. The building also has great communal space where residents can socialise. Overall a great living experience”

“I can’t thank Joe, Kayla, and the entire team at Joseph G Boyd & Co Court Lawyers enough. From start to finish, they were absolutely amazing! Professional, supportive, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. As someone who can be a bit of a stresshead, I was honestly dreading the whole situation, but Joe and Kayla were incredible at keeping me calm and clearly explaining everything step by step. Their guidance and reassurance made a massive difference. (Even with the multiple calls and texts from me worrying they were always at the end of the phone to reassure and clam me down!) They dealt with the matter swiftly and professionally, and it’s now looking like no further action – case closed! I’m beyond grateful for their hard work and support. If you ever need a solicitor team that truly has your back, I 100% recommend Joseph G Boyd & Co. Thank you again, Joe, Kayla, and team you were all amazing and I am beyond grateful!”

St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room & Music Museum

    ★★★★★ 4.9 (96 Reviews) Top rated Open

“It is the first music museum I have been to and my favorite music museum in the UK so far. It is a combo of concert hall and music museum which belongs to the University of Edinburgh. The exhibit is so amazing, in addition to displaying some native British instruments, there are many French, Italian, German and even other foreign instruments. Originally, the piano without art painting is the piano of the common people, and the piano with art painting is the piano of the nobility. I love the harpsichord (picture 6), with Greek mythology hidden inside the lid, flowers painted on the sound board, a art about Chinese market depicted on the outside, and the piano legs are gilt in gold color. The German curator of the museum explained because that the harpsichord was bought by the French aristocrats and they chose the pattern themselves, and they hired several different painters, that’s why the finished product eventually presented in different patterns and styles, but in fact, there were many 17 century’s harpsichords and pianos of the French aristocrats like this. Thanks to her very much patient explanation, I felt so educated today. They said people can next book a tour guide online in advance, which I will do so next time when I come back, so that I can learn more interesting musical instrument history.”

“We are still not out of the woods but wanted to reassure anyone who has to take their beloved pet here as an emergency that these people will do everything they can. My cat Winston was feeling poorly and not eating too well. After taking him to my normal vet (Dundas Veterinary Group: never again) they told me his creatinine value was 1200 which is not good. 24 hours of fluids and no pain management, only trying to get him some gabapentin via food which he wasn’t eating and his condition was not improving and second blood panel showed 2300 creatinine. I didn’t want to give up especially since no imaging had been done so we received a priority referral to the small animal hospital and the treatment and bedside manner has been night and day. Winston was put on antibiotics, fluids and imaging was done among other things. These things take time and as of this morning his kidney values are back to normal ! Even if things do not end the way we want, I am so comforted by the fact that my cat is getting the absolute best care. Thank you to Joel and Esther and the team for taking such good care your patients and their owners.”

“Really enjoyed this spot! Found it on a Google map search while we were in the area. The BLT and Calamari sandwiches were delicious. Would highly recommend this place for a quick and cheap but tasty dinner! Visited from Canada by the way and we’ll be back next time we’re in Edinburgh.”
