“After attending and loving a GRC competition trial run by Linnea, I signed up for Walk and Train’s shadow programme — and I’m so glad I did! Between both Linnea and Gregor, they were full of knowledge and genuine love for the work they do. Throughout the programme, I got to discuss my future and how to get into the dog training world as well as observe a wide range of training sessions, from puppy development and obedience work to behaviour modification and GRC training. Each session offered something new to learn, and both Linnea and Gregor took the time to explain methods, reasoning, and the “why” behind every technique! What I loved was how calm, patient, consistent and fun they were with every dog and client. The ability to tailor their approach to each individual dog was brilliant and made me reflect on how I can apply the same adaptability in my own work. The experience was educational, motivating and so much fun — I came away with a deeper understanding of canine behaviour, training structure and the importance of clear communication between handler and their dog. I’d highly recommend this shadow programme to anyone looking to grow their knowledge, gain hands-on experience, or simply spend time learning from passionate, and skilled trainers! I can’t wait to continue developing my training journey with everything I took away from this experience ❤️”

“Jess and Aimee were absolutely fantastic with our little chaotic border collie during the puppy classes. We would recommend these classes to anyone. They were always willing to answer any questions we had and made the process fun and engaging, which it should be. We will definitely be back for the adolescence classes. “My partner and I have visited many dog parks (at least 15/20) and we’d say this one is the best one! We live over an hour away but make the journey as our wee beagle loves it here. Definitely one of the biggest ones we’ve been to and has everything (lots of space, sensory garden, lots of equipment, fresh water, poo bags, toilet facility etc). We’re wary of some parks in terms of safety and the wee one escaping but we have no worries with this one. Will be back soon!”

“Barklay Park Dog Daycare is an absolute gem. My dog Benny absolutely loves it there - he has the best time every single visit and comes home happy and tired from all the fun. The staff are incredible; so friendly, caring, and always go above and beyond to help. It's clear they genuinely love what they do, and Benny clearly feels that too. The location is brilliant, and really easy to get to, which makes everything that bit smoother. I honestly couldn't recommend it more - it's the perfect place if you want your dog to be safe and loved, and have a ball while you're away.”

“After alot of thought and hesitation. We took the plunge and contacted Kristie. So helpful, so understanding of our circumstances. Now our wee timid 'Fergus' cannot wait for his walkers Susan & Emma. He sits at the window waiting for the car and off he goes. Best decision we have made. We get regular updates on what the wee one has been up to, together with pictures. Cannot recommend enough!!!!”

“Callum helped us with our 7 month old Rough Collie pup who had various anxieties (eg stairs, the lead, grooming, separation anxiety), reactivity to other dogs and new people (not aggressive but highly exciteable, pulling on the lead, jumping up, saying hello to everyone, human and dog) - Callum spent lots of time with us and listened to us closely, observed our pup with us indoors and outdoors/walking), gave his assessment, then spent time teaching us how to address the issues and how to support her longer term development, and included a lot of breed specific knowledge and information - our pup is now 11 months old and all of Callum’s advice has been so helpful to us and pup has made really good progress in all areas. Callum has been available for ongoing support if/when we needed it too. I highly recommend Callum to anyone reading this website and looking for a diligent and knowledgeable trainer who knows his stuff! He really assessed our puppy’s nature and needs very well, and our needs and expectations too.”

“My dog loves Alana more than me! On Alana Days she recognises the sound of her car and runs to the gate to wait for her. Over the last two years Alana has always looked after her and kept her safe even when she can be a little madam and goes walk-about. There are only a handful of people I would trust with my fur baby and Alana is one of them.”

“We dropped our little guy off for an hour while we did some shopping. He had a great time playing with the other dogs and did not want to leave when we came to pick him up. Monica is patient, knowledgeable and knows how to manage several dogs at once. We felt very comfortable leaving our pup in her care knowing that he would be safe and well taken care of. We'll be definitely coming back, and know that our doggo can't wait to go back either!”

“Jasper has been with pawdlers for around 3/4 months now. He never used to like being sent out with his dog walker but since moving him to pawdlers he sprints out the door excited to see Lauren every time and stays at the door for cuddles with her when she drops him off! They take the dogs for beautiful long walks in the pentlands and provide fresh home made treats! I get to see snippets on social media which show them being given enriching games with treats as they walk with all the dogs playing really nicely and with good manners...and jasper always comes home squeaky clean even when I see him on Instagram having jumped in a big bog! (Which is most walks...he's a grub!) I wouldn't want to put him with anyone else. They really are the best!”

“When we first got our Labrador puppy Sandy in December 2019, June offered a professional service and visited Sandy every afternoon to give him lunch and take him out a walk whilst we were at work. When Sandy got older, June helped to socialise Sandy with other dogs in a safe environment. June allowed this by introducing Sandy to other dogs similar to Sandys age and size. After the initial COVID19 lockdown, June put in place a number of measures to make us feel comfortable and safe (including using a mask, using her own leads to get Sandy safe to and from the house to her van and and gloves) and continued to provide a professional and reliable service. June now takes Sandy out once a day for a walk with other dogs and regularly sends us videos of him and his friends playing and texts to let me know how Sandy is getting on. June has built a great bond with Sandy and he now waits by the window everyday, waiting for June to arrive to take him on his daily adventure with all his friends!”
