“Spacious and welcoming cafe. A great addition to Mount Florida's eateries. Just opened, so simple menu, but great flavours and good prices. I had a cup of their home made roast tomato and carmalised onion soup with a plant based cheese soughdough toastie, which contained three different types of vegan cheese. I am not really a great cheese hand but this toastie has me hooked! The soup was delicious. Nice view too, looking over the trees in the island next to Cathcart Road.”

“I love this wee shop and I have visited many times! I own many plants from this store, and never had any issues - even when I got some 'rescue' plants they were all in a great condition and definitely well cared for. Never had any pest problems either. When I was just starting to get into plants, the owner was always super helpful and happy to answer my questions related to plant care. Thanks so much, and I'll be back for sure!”

“Like a Time Machine I’m back in my youth, but with my own kids. Staff are lovely, food is outstanding. Best of all are the ££, impossibly cheap, like they’re 30 years behind what everyone else would charge. Worth the wait for a seat to soak up the nostalgia.”

“We regularly make a long round trip to Big Al’s Street Cafe in the south side of Glasgow for the sole reason of enjoying his bacon rolls and soup. They are the best ever and worthy of a five star restaurant. Very reasonably priced too.”

I would recommend perhaps dining in for this since the food is quite greasy and can get messy. But it’s so worth it!”

Attention to detail about the quality of everything is clearly on the agenda here at Alessio's. Flavours are gutsy and pack a punch. Superb value. Service excellent. Amazing place if you like punchy flavours, your sandwiches packed full to bursting and quality of ingredients top notch. I'd come back to Kirkintilloch simply to visit here. Bravo.”

“We love this wee place. Everything is made fresh, including the pasta and pizzas, and I'm pretty sure he makes his own cakes. The woman at the counter is always lovely and gave our wee dog a pupachino whole ate our pizzas and ice cream. I absolutely love wee local places like this that offer fresh food and don't charge mental prices.”

“Came to Hawana with my friend and had the pan hookah, easily the best I’ve had in Glasgow. Smooth, tasty, and top quality. I invited my friend even though he doesn’t smoke, and I wasn’t sure if he’d enjoy it, but he actually had a great time. The vibe is super chill, staff are really friendly, and the cheesecake was way better than I expected. We ended up staying for hours. Definitely one of my favorite spots now.”
