“This is a good facility which has Italian beginners class in an eight week block at night. The learning is fun and the instructor is engaging. Gives an insight to both the language and the Italian culture. Would love to have further classes to build on the knowledge gained here.”

The staff are lovley aswell. I always go in the baby pool to heat up and when I'm there you can see little babys playing and in the big pool people jumping in and having fun!! “I was a member of the University of Glasgow Sports Centre for about two years, and looking back, I genuinely appreciate how lucky we were to train there. While there were areas that could use refurbishment – such as the male changing rooms on the 3rd floor and occasional issues with the sauna and steam room – the overall offering was nothing short of world class. The gym featured ELEIKO plates, proper strength training equipment, and an incredible 14 or so squat platforms. Yes – that many, and all of them from ESP. That alone puts it far above most commercial gyms. And all of this was available at a fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere. In London or the surrounding areas, you'd need to shell out around £250 per month at a place like David Lloyd to get access to similar facilities – if you can find them at all. So to any students, staff, or members of the public currently training there: make the most of it. The University of Glasgow Sports Centre is a serious facility, and you may not realise how special it is until you move away.”

The staff was friendly, and the pool was clean and well-organized with swimming lanes for various speeds/ abilities. There was also a swimming lesson going on for youngsters. “I had a minor abdominal surgery (umbilical hernia repair) yesterday in the SAU at the Golden Jubilee and I was so impressed by this hospital and the level of care I received. All the hospital staff that I met (from the nurses, auxiliary staff and cleaners in SAU (and also pre-assessment a couple of weeks before), through to the nurses, doctors and specialists I dealt with in anaesthesia, theatre and recovery) were amazing. They were so lovely and friendly, and took the time to explain things, answer my questions and keep me updated and comfortable through the day. They all helped to put me at ease for my first ever anaesthetic and surgery, and I'm so happy that everything went as planned and I was back home the same evening. I also called this morning with a query about my wound and spoke to a very helpful nurse in SAU straight away. All areas of the hospital I visited were immaculately clean and the SAU is very modern and comfortable. I had my own private pod for the hours before and after my surgery, and was very well looked after with cups of tea, tasty soup, a sandwich and lots of biscuits once I'd recovered (what more could you want?!). I love our NHS and I appreciate it even more now. Thanks so much ❤️”
