“I'm going to see my dad in Spain tomorrow, and he can't get King Edwards where he is.. We dropped into Harvies to see if he had them in stock, and wow. What an amazing array of all the best cigars I've ever seen, the website doesn't do this hidden gem as much justice as it deserves, so I'm leaving a review to let everyone know this shop has everything. We'll definitely be back. Also, the price of the 5 pack I got was far cheaper than any other sources I'm aware of. 10/10 !”

“Incredible place. I went in this evening for a cigar to go with my whisky of choice and Leithen spent a good ten minutes with me. Incredible expertise and knowledge, gave me confidence in my purchase. He’s a credit to the business and an asset. I love this shop, it’s an absolute must visit for any whisky or cigar enthusiast. Can’t rate it highly enough, shame there isn’t a 6 or 7 star option. Fantastic.”

“This is a great wee greengrocer and whole food shop. If you visit don't forget to have a look in the back room where pulses, spices, etc can be found. They really are a "green"grocer as you can find yesterday's bread on sale at discount. Some may say a bit pricey but the foodstuffs are first class and I don't mind paying a wee bit extra for quality. Five stars from me.”

It’s not easy to find places where there’s no televisions distracting or disturbing you, which is fine if that’s what you want. Really felt the environment supported, for those who wanted to, to socialise and chat if only just in the passing. Also great that you can bring in food from the surrounding take away places. Good place for a casual night out.”

“The wines are good quality with no chemical taste after you consume it. Staff is very helpful, called them by phone (other store just hang up and did not answer my call) to clarify the prices and selection and got all the information I needed! Afterwards got there, bought the wine and was not disappointed! Packaging is also very lovely!”

Attention to detail about the quality of everything is clearly on the agenda here at Alessio's. Flavours are gutsy and pack a punch. Superb value. Service excellent. Amazing place if you like punchy flavours, your sandwiches packed full to bursting and quality of ingredients top notch. I'd come back to Kirkintilloch simply to visit here. Bravo.”
