“This place is amazing. The sandwiches are jaw crackers - stuffed full with fillings which are delicious. Attention to detail about the quality of everything is clearly on the agenda here at Alessio's. Flavours are gutsy and pack a punch. Superb value. Service excellent. Amazing place if you like punchy flavours, your sandwiches packed full to bursting and quality of ingredients top notch. I'd come back to Kirkintilloch simply to visit here. Bravo.”

“Excellent dog friendly facilities with towels for mucky paws, blankets for sleeping on, a stack of water bowls and free treats. Really welcoming. Friendly staff and efficient service. Reasonable veggie options with the halloumi flatbread being really tasty. We had a 40% off mains voucher, so our lunch was super cheap, making it absolutely brilliant value. Very clean, even in the doggie area.”

“The staff are always really lovely and helpful and go the extra mile to make sure everything's right. We've been a few times and the steak meals are fantastic and great value. The food is delicious and the Lion and Star serves the best onion rings ever! It could do with a wee make over but the food and service make up for that.”

“8 of us had lunch yesterday and it was 10/10. Staff were super attentive and lovely, food was really quick and delicious and the value for money on the lunch menu is super. Couldn't fault a thing! Our second meal there in the same number of weeks and can see it becoming our new go to place (late to the party as know it's been here a while).”
