“I went to screwfix as an ignoramus. I measured everything, had taken photos and had some idea what I wanted. The guys at Screwfix, Monks Cross were superb! They didn't treat me like an eejit, they were very respectful, knowledgeable and honestly, could not have done any more for me. They showed endless patience and solved all bar one of my problems. The one unsolved problem, they gave me suggestions on where to go for the part I need. I was really worried about going into a place like this, knowing what I wanted but not knowing how to ask for it and looking a complete idiot. I won't have those worries again, thanks to the guys at Monks Cross Screwfix, one of which was Tom, didn't get the other guy's name, but he had a grey beard. I will from now on, continue to go to Screw fix every time I need some, safe in the knowledge I am likely to get exactly what I need, with expert advice, all at a reasonable price. Faultless Screwfix, thank you again for your patience, expertise, understanding and professionalism, very impressive.”

They are always very welcoming and polite and every time will also say hello to my little boy too (and give him the occasional chocolate as well) very nice set of men and a very tidy, well stocked shop”

“Gorgeous little coffee shop right near the Shambles Market, and the perfect place to escape a cold York afternoon and warm yourself with a hot beverage. The Bailey's hot chocolate really hit the spot, and my partner really enjoyed his bacon and brie toastie. The vibe is cosy and perfect for parties of 2, but seating is limited at lunchtime, especially for parties any larger than 4. Many parties of 3 or more were getting turned away or split over multiple tables.”

We come to this store all the time to pick up any items we need and we love the atmosphere, the staff, especially the youngsters, are super friendly and always make us feel very welcome! ☺️”

“Hello. I visited the Acomb store this afternoon with my brother who is in a wheelchair. Th till assistant helped me outside with the shopping and waited with my brother whilst I went for the car. The security guard then helped by folding and loading the wheelchair. We are new to managing a wheelchair and the help was so god to have, particularly with the heat of the day. Thank you so much for your kindness.”

“An excellent store the staff are very helpful and friendly, some items are a bit expensive but for a little store they have a good selection of items, I do need to single out 4 members of staff who always make my shopping experience pain free they are Emily Aaron Nikki and Reece. Sainsbury's these colleagues need rewarding for their hard work and making Sainsbury's a good place to shop. Well done and keep it up!!!.”

“This Tescos is amazing. The spectacular staff members embrace themselves as they are very friendly, especially in dotcom! It’s a very spacious place and everyone is welcome (unless they don’t like you ! ) it’s open 6am till midnight Monday till Saturday! 10-4 on a Sunday! It’s a very efficient place to shop and they is loads of choice! They even is a little hospital at the back and a scanner! Such an exciting place to go on a Saturday instead of the beach! Sometimes they do a Christmas party! Excellent !!”
