“We went early in the evening for dinner and had no reservations. Luckily someone who had reserved didn’t turn up and so we got a table. The food was absolutely delectable and lip smacking . I could click only two photos although we had ordered 3 appetisers and a main course. The Bruschetta with Bufala and Parma - Belliisomo…Pappardelle Guanciale Pistacchio E Stracciatella was a first time for me… it was nice but would have loved some more olive oil in it. The Calamari Frito was very good too and the chili garlic mayo added that zing..we also ordered the Insalata Balsamica … fresh rocket and salad leaves, cherry tomatoes and some onion make it a lovely accompaniment for fibre.. while I wanted to try a dessert, we were too full and hence didn’t . Prior reservations are highly recommended”

They helped out a lost Aussie who went to the wrong location because booking.com & google maps gave them the wrong location. (Note: Bethel apartments and the Bethel location on maps aren't the same location!)”

“This place is a proper hidden gem. Situated just up the road from the Alhambra Theatre, neatly tucked away. Absolutely wonderful food in a really friendly environment. The flavours were immense, with the meat so tender it just fell apart, non of this overcooked chewy business you sometimes find elsewhere. Definitely booked in for a return visit with the whole family next time.”

“Came back in September 2025. Surprise was the mackerel and potatoes stuffed in crumbs which is kind of like a scotch egg but without eggs. The sea bass was a small portion though. Overall, we still live the food and service is great. We ordered four dishes and beer each, cost about £51 in total. Back in 2024: First time we giving a restaurant five stars for food, service and atmosphere. This place changed my perception of Sri Lanka food as my ignorant self thought was only thick curry similar to Indian. The food is top notch, refreshing curry that I finished every drop of, huge hake mallum is just something extraordinary which I've never tasted before. Must order the mallum and king prawn curry. Even the side dish of rice is so soft and fluffy, I am going to ask them where I can get the rice. Service is attentive and friendly, and seating is comfortable, great interior design. I'd go on but best that more people try this place for themselves. Totally worth paying the price. We ordered four tapas, a side and a dessert and we had already overeaten.”

“The Block is a great spot for pizza, we popped in for a quick bite and a pint with not much time to spare. You can select which pizzas you want varying from £4-5 and they do you a large rectangular slice cut into 2 (we shared). As a recommendation, it's the perfect spot for a quick bite before doing something else for the evening. Staff were friendly, pizza was nice and they had good music on and a good selection of drinks, including brooklyn lager on draught!”

“It was my First time here after i hear ld a lot about this place, i decided to finally pay them a visit not as a business owner but as a customer We ordered two turkeys breakfast, it was absolutely delicious, it gives you a real Turkish experience, i had it before in Turkey and it looks exactly same. We offer a Kurdish mix breakfast which is a bit different so i liked it and the good thing that the staff informed us that we can refill the tea as much as we want and also they offered us a free bread with it after we finished our bread, The honey butter,flower jam was the best i have ever had. “Fabulous little Cuban restaurant. It was busy so book a table if you are going at peak time. Decor was in character. Lovely selection of tapas dishes. We chose 2 mains, a veg, potato and rice and it was plenty for 2. Alhambra beer on draught is good. Waitresses were there when we needed them. We would definitely go again.”

“Amazing food, it was really tasty and full of flavour and was great value for money, portion sizes are very good including side dishes. Friendly and attentive staff, no wait in being seated (Thursday mid-day) and gave good recommendations. Very clean and nice looking restaurant and lots of condiments to add on to food. Drink selection was also very good, the menu was a bit hard to read with the background but that's the only issue I had, a menu redesign would be much appreciated with higher contrast and some pictures to show some dishes, alternatively you can look at the online menu too.”
