Charming café in Leeds

“Perfect place for a stop if you're cycling in the area. It was a good menu, with lots of choice and vegetarian options. There's space to prop your bike against the window outside, and see it from your table. There's also a side alley you could potentially leave your bike, but would be out of sight once you were in the cafe.”

“The best tea rooms in the UK. The loose leaf Betty's tea room blend is delicious. The cakes are of very good quality fondant fancies and vanilla slices are superior to anything available elsewhere. The fat rascals are so buttery. We are regulars in Ilkley. Can't beat it for a proper tea room experience. Not just for cakes - lunch items are delicious too.”

“Lovely place to come for coffee & food. Great portion sizes, and the coffee was so good. There’s quite a bit of seating inside and out. They do have outdoor heaters but staff explained that sometimes they don’t work. So lovely to be sat watching people walk by. Dog friendly too.”

“Pontefract market used to be quite big. But like everything with on line shopping etc it had got smaller. The inside market is great always brings back memories of when I was a kid. There are lots of new shops in there now, all the people that rent them are always friendly and helpful.”

“We visited here today for afternoon tea... The tea room was beautifully decorated with lots of antiques from various eras and the ceiling was a great feature to the room! We loved the overall vintage theme! :) The Waitresses were very warm welcoming and friendly The afternoon tea was very tasty, just the right mix of sweet and savory food, the sandwiches tasted very fresh and the cakes were light and fluffy. We loved the entire experience of the afternoon tea and will definitely be returning soon. Hopefully next time I won't leave my phone ha ha !”

We were extremely impressed by the fabulous coffee and brilliant staff. When Caffe Valeria was opened we knew we had found “our” place! We visit often, both as a couple and some times with friends. The coffee is and the choice of cakes and pastries is excellent. The staff are always smiling and making us feel welcome. All the staff are helpful and kind. We must mention George, Liv and Olly as going above and beyond to make us feel special. Please don’t change a thing. Helen and David Update, George, Liv and Ollie (the stars of Valeria’s) have all left taking its heart with them. We no longer go there. Staff could be better trained, owner unpleasant. We feel we have lost something very special.”
