“Absolutely love the Irish Centre on York Road Leeds. The building is lovely clean and tidy, staff are polite and friendly. The entertainment and Tribute acts are brilliant and it has a great dance floor. And apparently on a Saturday evening now they have live music every week so get out of the house while your still breathing and able.. Enjoy Life.”

“Great friendly pub, perfect for a few pints. Staff always try their best to serve as quickly as they can, but like any pub, at busy time it helps of customers help the staff by pointing out who was 1st and not jumping in front of people who have already been waiting.”

“Both my son and currently my daughter have enjoyed being part of the Little Gym. The instructors are fabulous and have brought their gymnastic skills on fabulously though fun and imaginative games. Great for burning off lots of energy after school and my daughter loves the holiday clubs which have lots of varied activities including crafts. My little girl's birthday party was also hosted at the Little Gym and she and her friends had an amazing time.”

“Fabulous little Cuban restaurant. It was busy so book a table if you are going at peak time. Decor was in character. Lovely selection of tapas dishes. We chose 2 mains, a veg, potato and rice and it was plenty for 2. Alhambra beer on draught is good. Waitresses were there when we needed them. We would definitely go again.”

“Visited here as part of York Restaurant Week. That chicken mandi was unbelievably tasty, can tell the right amount of seasoning was used. I could see the restaurant owner adjusting the lights to enhance the dining atmosphere, which I find very nice. I also had a soup with a spicy kick to it. Like others have commented, I never tried Yemeni food so made it even better.”

“We went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night. Having seen the original London show several times, we were excited to see the musical again. We were not disappointed; the sets looked great, and the singing and dancing were excellent. It was the first time we'd been to the Joseph Rowntree Theatre, but it won't be the last.”

“Although it appears as a bar, the food is outstanding! We had burritos, nachos, wings and churros and it was all delicious and good value. The churros are the best I've ever had, and I've lived in Spain for a couple of years! Chocolate infused cinnamon covered with a tasty dip (n.b. you get four but my photo shows three as I couldn't resist!). The service was excellent too, lovely staff. Fully recommend!”

“Went into pontefract it was a ghost town nothing hardly open so went into liquorice bush was made very welcome so we had our Sunday lunch what a meal chicken and beef the meat melted in your mouth the yorkshire pud was great everything on the plate was delicious we had the pensioners one and I couldn't eat all mine all for £6 each where can you get that any better thank you liquorice bush you made our miserable day brighter we will be back”

“My first Soul Brew night at this local WMC which although I've passed it dozens of times have never been inside before so really didn't know what to expect. My first problem was that there's some really steep steps to manoeuvre so not the easiest entry for someone with arthritis in cold weather but I was determined !! I'm never disappointed with Soul Brew gigs, they're a really class act locally and if you're wondering what all this 'Northern Soul' fuss and passion's about you'd be well advised to check out any local events (see Soul Source) for any local DJ crews as we're very fortunate in having some excellent Crews, venues & local DJ's so you won't be disappointed !! This was really old school /Wigan era stuff and absolutely fabulous with some awesome dancers wearing very traditional clothing so a real joy to see so many folk with the same passion I feel about this music genre. The dancefloor's a good size and these lads really know their stuff just as they do at Jeremy's Boathouse and The George at Cleckheaton. Sadly I couldn't get there for the start of the evening but delighted that I made the last hour even though I'd missed my friends but the folk I spoke to were all delightful and I hope to see them again on another dancefloor soon !! The barstaff and prices were great, I tried a different brand of cider which went down a treat so that'll become my regular tipple there . I was a bit disappointed with the inside of the club, it could really do with a good coat of paint and a freshen up but that's up to the club management and its members to decide. Overall with plenty of seating & local free parking an easy 15 /10, I need to get my act together and get there on time for the next one, KTF all x x”

“Nipped in for lunch. Ordered via the app, drinks arrived quickly by Carl, meal also arrived in good time, cooked lovely and served hot, apparently cooked by Lucas and Thomas. Molly was very attentive and very friendly. Will definitely be back again.”

“Invisible Pain Theatre Company is like no other theatre company we've seen before, we focus a lot on Mental Health and its something the group strongly spread the message about as its something we are close to. It's such a calming and friendly environment which is great as the theatre company focuses strongly about mental health and how we can raise awareness for it as its not spoken about enough. Invisible Pain Theatre Company will always be like my 2nd family as all members look after you and help you the best that they can for you to reach your potential in the rehersal room. I joined the group in February 2020 before the covid lockdown and I didn't have a lot of confidence but since I joined this group they've believed in me and helped me a lot with my confidence whilst in the rehersal room. I've worked with every individual of the group and they are all talented people and I'm glad to call my friends. We've had our ups and downs at times but as a group we've stuck together and have preserved and tried to be resilient as we possibly could as when the covid pandemic kicked in we had to do our future rehersals on zoom and nobody had even used it before so it knocked us a lot. But once it all calmed down we was officially reunited and back in the rehersal room again working on things like a confidence session to get us back and running again like we was before, we stuck with it and managed to continue to do our rehersals and many other things like festivals and carnivals to raise money as well for our group. Invisible Pain Theatre Company is amazing and I'm glad to be part of it they are great at what they do and what they would like to achieve. They are like a 2nd family to me and they are always going to be my friends. Thank you for everything ❤”
