“What a fantastic find. We have been here for breakfast twice and both times the food was absolutely delicious. I would especially recommend the LA eggs and strapatsada.”
“Wow, what a place! First, the decor: Tins of chopped tomato line the shelves - more varieties of chopped tomato than I knew existed - and the walls are adorned with both local artwork and stunning relics from the restaurants Marco’s father had owned in Italy. A highlight was a painted plate, depicting Marco’s father and mother as a chef and what can only be described as a seductress (neither depiction accurate, according to Marco) under the watchful eye of Il Passatore - a roguish Italian highwayman and Robin Hood figure. Second, the welcome: Marco is a delightful man. He came and chatted to us. He told us about Il Passatore. He brought us appetisers made with friarelli, a Neapolitan broccoli so nice my colleague left with a jar! He gave us a delicious and very boozy alpine digestif as we left. He is an excellent host and restaurateur! Third, the food: I had a puttanesca pizza - divine. Homemade chilli sauce to dip the crusts - divine. Friarelli and red pesto appetiser - divine. My colleague had a calzone the size of three-year-old. We ate like kings. I cannot recommend a meal at Marco’s enough. I was in Hebden Bridge for only one week. I simply popped in on my lunch break, and was treated to a meal I will remember for years. I left with a Marco’s Cafe T-shirt - the design a collaboration between his daughter’s artwork and Marco’s own AI skills - which I will wear fondly for a long time. Thank you Marco!”

“What a great find in Headingley, just like I remember eating in Malaysia, very authentic The chicken satay was so good and loaded with pean Nasi lemek and chicken goreng also deserve a mention Great value and just bring along your own bottle of wine or beer”

“Perfect place for a stop if you're cycling in the area. It was a good menu, with lots of choice and vegetarian options. There's space to prop your bike against the window outside, and see it from your table. There's also a side alley you could potentially leave your bike, but would be out of sight once you were in the cafe.”
“Just been for a breakfast at the meanwood cafe, best brekkie in meanwood, lovely little cafe Really worth a visit”
“This is a great, family owned local cafè with delicious menu options and fantastic kind, friendly and efficient service. The atmosphere is lovely, with the choice to eat indoors or outside. The food is outstanding and, though expensive, the portion sizes are good and the taste is amazing. I was very glad we visited and I will certainly be going back again. A not-so-secret gem practically opposite the village green. Loved it!”
“I go to this cafe every week. The food is great, friendly staff. You can watch them mixing their cakes. All homecooked food at reasonable prices”
“I’ve been a few times now the food has always tasted lovely and presented well The Christmas high tea was absolutely lovely, I highly recommend Tillys and have plans to go again Next week”
“Fantastic place to visit, loved the interesting music related decor and whole atmosphere of the cafe. We attended a music bingo night and had a fun time. The owners were great hosts and had put on a fab event. There is a good selection of drinks available, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I would also highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwiches. We had the all-day breakfast and smokestack lighting sandwiches, and they were delicious.”
“If you're looking for something fresh and lighter than most places, you might want to try FeVa's omelettes. They come with chips or salad, and the portions are abundant. Also, amazing view from the tables!”
“We came here as part of our York Ghost Week experience and loved every second of it! The staff is always so kind and helpful, and the food was delicious. I love the Yorkshire cream tea, and heated scones. Also loved the limited edition Chocolate ghosts, wonderful job!”
“I highly recommend this cafe. Food was great and service was fantastic. Plenty of seating. Lovely place to meet with family and friends. A great vegan breakfast.”
“I go every week for lunch, and it’s always delicious, homely food. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The staple menu changes every few months, and there’s a different soup and special every day. The crowd is also always interesting and diverse: families, book clubs, office workers wfh, older and younger people. There’s a lovely terrace, and also indoor space. Accessible for people with limited mobility and wheelchair users.”
“Love this café for it's great coffee - I ordered an oat milk flat white and a cup of foamy milk for accompanying little one. All the food looked fresh and tasty - just went for cake today which was delicious (particularly the lemon cake!) Staff are helpful and friendly.”

“Haven't been in for a while, nipped in today to find a new owner. Great service, quality sandwiches, reasonable prices. I'm very specific with the cooking of my egg (runny yolk but no snotty white bits!) The sandwich was 100% perfect! Will be back again soon. Thank you :)”
“They are such nice people, always greet me and talk to me so lovely, love coming to this cafe when I have got the time.”
“Lovely place to come for coffee & food. Great portion sizes, and the coffee was so good. There’s quite a bit of seating inside and out. They do have outdoor heaters but staff explained that sometimes they don’t work. So lovely to be sat watching people walk by. Dog friendly too.”
