“Short and outdated stock, mainly alcohol. Prices low, especially if stock is outdated. Clearly states that stock is short / outdated. Good range, stock varies on availability, generally when it's gone, it's gone.”
“Fabulous place for either a take away or to sit in. Plenty of car parking at the side. Superb food and service with plenty of choice. A definite must try for breakfast lor lunch!”
“Excellent service from the staff. Very helpful, can guide you if required, or allow you to browse a very presentable stock of wines and spirits at leisure. The customer taster area is excellent, often with a good choice, which allow you to try new wines you might not have considered. The best store in this chain. Recommended.”
“A great place in Cleckheaton for real ales and craft beers plus gins and spirits. Offers a friendly and relaxed vibe plus a nice beer garden, good sun trap.”
“A good night for entertainment. A game of bingo ,open the box a music quiz and a singer .What more can you want . Very friendly. Spotlessly clean and modern . Oh and a raffle for a meat prize. Cheap drinking as well. Well worth a visit.”
“Always nice to visit this store. Have a laugh with the ladies there, oh and the Cholent was lovely, brought back memories of my mum cooking it in the oven all night.lol”
“Always quality service and a chat if you're a regular. My go to shop in Bramley.”
“Amazing place. Absolutely can't fault it. The staff are so friendly and professional and have fantastic customer service. Portion sizes are incredible and taste out of this world. Really good value for money. Honestly one of my favourite places ever!!”
“Great location and atmosphere! We were here for a family birthday (party of 7) on a busy Sunday. Food was not only more than great but served altogether in a timely manner. Everyone including the kids enjoyed there food with enough choice to suit everyone. Staff were attentive and polite. Overall great experience!”
“This is one of my favourite pubs in Wakefield. It has a superb location and a large selection of seating from outside on the lawn and the pub garden to inside the pub or it's conservatory. The pub itself is very old and worth visiting purely for this reason. It's full of character and is worth seeing. As for the food - the pies here are next level. The staff are always friendly. So yes definitely one to visit.”
“Thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant. I put the atmosphere down to 4 stars solely because it was quiet at the time. If I knew you would have taken the heads off the shrimp I would have had the shrimp pasta but couldn't take the gamble. We will be returning in the future :)”
“One of those rare, little places that actually have a soul whilst still having pints for under £5! Very good service with friendly staff. Had a nice conversation with one of the bartenders called Travis, he was quick to serve and gave me a flyer for an event going on. Travis was also very helpful as we were enquiring about having a wake here. Currently having a pint here with Steve on shift, very friendly too. Thank you primrose!! :D”
“Lovely Shop, staff are very friendly and professional, the samples are what kept me there and leaving with a New lovely Single Malt. Such a great way to find a Whiskey that suits your pallet, tasting the different choices available was lovely”
“Very welcoming landlord. Lovely atmosphere. Big portion food. Amazing scotch eggs!”
“Are exprience was ace.all safety precautions was in hand all tables separated.bar staff were lovely made you feel welcome. And the landlord and his wife were lovely and making sure everything was safe for there customers. Made you feel very comfortable.”
“Food absolutely Gorgeous, service very good.Good size portions, lamb worth £1 supplement. Very good”
“Dangerous. After trying a few samples (and buying more than planned as a result of doing so) "would you like a small port while you check out"... Lessons learned, don't go early in the day before breakfast when after a few free samples the pub suddenly seems a good plan and you then get little else done with the day!”
“Great place that we stumbled across when we moved into the area 18m ago. We joined as members straight away after our first visit. Well stocked bars, sport on the TV, pool & snooker and a turn on most weekends. It has a function room which always seems to be in use most weekends. A really good addition to the hostelries in the area.”
“Stopped here after a long dog walk. Great service and my dog was made welcome with a bit of chicken. Had coffee and tuna jacket. Both were lovely. Defo atop here again when walking on the canal”
“love cheesy chips, sweet staff, fast service! everything you could ask for :))”
“I have ordered several bar kegs now off of Karl at House of Ales and each time the transaction has been fantastic, and Karl is a very nice bloke and his communication is excellent. Will continue getting all my kegs from House of Ales”
“Great little shop. Knowledgable guy and very happy to help. Some cracking choices and some that are limited brews. Would recommend anyone fancying something different compared to the local supermarkets to head down and grab a few drinks.”
“A great family owned corner shop. The lady is especially friendly and welcoming. Despite not being very big, they have a pretty good variety of things, especially sweets and if they don't stock something that you buy regularly elsewhere, just have a word and they'll see if they can get it from the cash and carry when they go next.”
“Great local pub with a nice log fire, just missing some real ale !”
“Bal is a very honest and decent owner Hope to business soon Bal”
“Best off-license in town! Have everything you need & always have great offers on. Staff are so friendly and accommodating too”
“The staff there are so friendly and lovely, and have a surprisingly large collection of offerings for such a small store. They always make my day!”
“A typically excellent range of wines and I've yet to come across a more helpful vitner. The staff are always happy to share their knowledge to help you find something new or old that you might be looking for. The labelling and organisation of the stock helps to ensure that you'll find something you like.”
“Called into this pub on Friday night, very low prices for the beer, friendly locals and bar staff, good atmosphere, fantastic original 'Oats and Greens' pot stalls in the gents too. A good old traditional pub.”
