“We visit Al's every four weeks. Al & his partner are always friendly. Their shop is immaculately clean. The stock is reasonably priced and changes frequently. Antique books, furniture and collectables are the main items on offer. Part of the Piece Hall in Halifax, I can't think of a better shop in the whole town!”

“My wife and I have just had one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. My wife had the steak pie which was crammed with perfectly cooked beef steak and gravy , with chips and peas. I had game pie again crammed with meat and gravy , with chips peas and a large gravy boat. We could not have asked for a better meal. The wood burning stove blasted out a lot of heat, to make the room comforting. The service is so good that they bring your drinks to your table. Excellent value.”

“New to the area and had gone by on the bus a couple times, the beer garden always looked so inviting. So we booked in a Sunday roast - can do online or over the phone. Were originally booked in around 4, but were in the area earlier and decided to pop in and see if we could eat 2 hours earlier (annoying I know but we just wanted to see if there was space on the off chance). They were super understanding and accommodating. The food was amazing, came quickly and tasted amazing! The portions were huge!!! The staff were so lovely and attentive. Honestly couldn’t ask for more. After an amazing roast we had one more drink outside in the beer garden which was clean, beautifully put together and there were quite a few friendly dogs out there too, which is always lovely. Will be back!”

“Building a single storey extension, we had a completely blank canvas for KC Design House to work their magic on. The process primarily focuses on the functional needs of the customer and the aesthetics, with materials and colours coming later. The process isn't particularly quick, but where KCDH excel and what sets them apart from the rest is their attention to detail. A kitchen is a serious investment, so after it has been fitted you really do not want to be saying 'I wish that I had thought of ....'. Since our kitchen has been fitted, everything is exactly where it needs to be. Real thought has been put in to considering the flow and use of the kitchen, and it looks fantastic too Thank you KC Design House, you've helped us create a space that is a pleasure to use.”

“Saw this on Facebook. Made a detour to try it out. Well worth it. Lovely bacon and sausage sandwich, cooked perfectly. Nice cuppa with a Biscof biscuit on the side. Very friendly, family run. “We had the pleasure of dining at Blue Smoke recently, and we’ll definitely be back soon. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Tommy, a friendly young man who showed us to our table. After a brief moment, he offered us drinks and then service was taken over by Lucas. We ordered a selection of pizzas and a chicken parmo, and we were blown away by the quality of the food. The ham and pineapple pizza was hands down one of the best I’ve had in a long time—huge credit to the chef for that! Throughout the evening, we were mainly served by Lucas and Ryan, who were both incredibly polite, friendly, and attentive. It was clear they went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We also had our one-year-old with us, and the waiting staff were so kind, making an effort to chat with him and acknowledge his little waves. It’s always nice when the team takes the time to engage with little ones! The atmosphere at Blue Smoke was perfect—not too busy, which made for a relaxing dining experience. The pricing was very reasonable for the quality of food, and overall, it was an excellent value. We highly recommend Blue Smoke to anyone looking for delicious food and top-notch service. We find best time to visit is early evening or mid day. It can get a little busy late on. Prices are probably the cheapest in Haworth for quality lagers beers and ciders.”

I had the large breakfast with bottomless tea and i didn’t leave feeling bloated like you sometimes do after a breakfast it was just right.
