“Our son attended playgroup and he absolutely loved it. Every day he ran in no problem, often too excited to take his bag and say bye to us! He spoke about the staff a lot which was lovely, saying they were his friends and that he wanted to work there when he was older. Often on a weekend he would ask to go see them. The setting is perfect for little ones to develop, indoor play with all different stations, crafts, reading area etc. a playground with play huts, sandpit, bikes etc. A woodland area with all sorts of outdoor activities. Access to the sports fields where they do fitness and sports. The orchard and woods where they do forest school. There really is so much for them to do. Since starting at playgroup he has gained so much confidence and made loads of friends. Most of which are going to Bishopthorpe Infant School. This meant when he attended taster sessions his friends were there and they were all excited to go to big school. Attending playgroup has given him the best possible start for school. “My son joined Stockton Lane Playgroup when he was 3 years and has absolutely loved his time there. The staff are so incredibly nurturing and kind which is what drew me to the playgroup. They have an excellent reputation and I can see why. The playgroup is spacious and there are always new and exciting activities for the children. I also joined part of the committee during our time there which opened up meeting lots of new friendly parents. My son and I have both made many friends and feel this has been a great start to transitioning into school life. Highly recommend”

He was loved and cared for, despite his challenging behaviour, the staffs were not Judgemental.I will strongly recommend Little Gems nusery to anyone l know looking for nusering place for their children. . “Went to North Star with glen coaches for Christmas lunch arrived 11.20 just in time for lunch at 11 .30 excellent meal, was told roast potatoes were done in goose fat, as they have to cater for gluten free customers. Finished meal 1.15 just had time for a nice walk to settle our meal called at a garden centre on journey home over all an amazing day. Betty Holtby”

“LGR has been a really positive place for my oldest daughter to go. It's not just childcare, but a space to grow and learn. The staff are extremely patient and caring towards the children and really help to make every day count in terms of learning and experiences. Their forest school has been a particular favourite to my homebody daughter, it's really increased her confidence and assisted in her learning and becoming ready for school. My youngest daughter will be starting LGR soon and i am excited to see how LGR enhances her learning journey too.”
