“I've been a regular here for a few years, and they are consistently great. The service is wonderful, and the owner is always very kind and happy to accommodate any food requests. Must-try items: Samosa, aloo paratha, paneer paratha ,Bhakari- they cook it on demand. They have delicious and wide variety of chat items as well.”

Mark and carol took very good care of my wife and myself during the whole process and the bed was delivered on time, and we love it. “This place is wonderful! The food is amazing! Staff were friendly and prompt. The atmosphere inside is perfectly set. Balancing quirkiness and style. Every inch of space has been curated with interesting features. Cosy and intimate, perfect for a first date or romantic meal. I went with two work collegues and the vibe was perfect for that too! When there we witnessed a very sweet moment of a group of teenagers that had seated outside and ordered tirimisu to share. You could see the delight in each spoonful.”

“Went down for a look because I was working in the area, besides the Great Central Way and the Aylestone Packhorse Bridge there isn’t much to chose between what was the best about being here… Then there was Kings Lock Bridge 104, Lock 38 and the Kings Lock Tearooms … I only had time for a Latte, which was absolutely perfect. I loved the staff, immediately took my order, the setting is perfect, dripping with history and all in a setting fit for… what for it… A King (or whoever it is you desire to be!)”

“A hardware shop that seems to stock everything. From batteries to plumbing, tools to electricals they carry it all. They are also very helpful and will try to help find solutions to your building problems. The shop seems to be over stocked but the variety is staggering to a casual customer.”

Luke's energy and commitment to our project and all the ideas we went to him with meant we were able to design the most perfect kitchen for our house and family. Portree kitchens are truly bespoke (many say they are bespoke, but they are not, which we quickly discovered after visiting some of the 'glossy' companies in the area!) and as such they were able to accommodate any and all of our kitchen requirements. “Went in needing a new Fridge Freezer I phoned Thursday he didn't have in what I wanted but were getting a delivery next day so we went down and had a look at a couple after the owner phoned to say they had arrived, we paid for it next day after owner again said the item would be £50 less than he thought and it was delivered within 45 mins of paying for it. This is our 2nd purchase from this shop and will definitely buy from again. Service was excellent as always and staff were polite and helpful as alwsys .”
