“A friendly pub in the heart of the community. Staff are great and beer is reasonably priced. The pool table is the heart of this typical local.”
“Haven’t eaten at the Irby Mill for a number of of years regretfully. The wife’s away so had to go for it. Great beer choices varied enjoyed a peerless ale & Salopian beer. The food though was par excellence. Tender sumptuous steak & the garlic bread remains as succulent as ever. Delightful evening with helpful friendly staff well done”
“Great coffee, great beautifully presented brunch food. Good interesting veggie options. Support a local cafe instead of paying for a Premier inn breakfast!”
“A cosy and charming little pub in the centre of Birkenhead. Full of life and character, it's also got a large beer garden (good for when the karaoke inside kicks off). The pints are probably some of the cheapest in Birkenhead and are always served with a smile.”

“Great place and very friendly staff, can't complain about anything, what more can you ask for. Would definitely recommend.”
“Our server Deb was fantastic, friendly and thought of everything for us. Wish we had this kind of service in every restaurant. This man deserves a payrise and a good bonus. He is a rare find. Food was good and we love the salad bar. But the real gem is our server Deb who made it a real experience we won't forget.”
“We hadn’t been to the Anchor for a while and decided to take advantage of a Premium Country Pub (app) “buy one main course, get one free” offer. The restaurant was busy (probably due to the offer) but relaxed, welcoming, warm and comfortable at the same time. We ordered king prawn, crab and chorizo pasta and a prime burger with a buttermilk chicken fillet added. (After pondering “beef or chicken burger?” for a while this was a great solution for only £3 extra.) The food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Our complements to the management, the chef(s) and personally to Emily, Kerry and Cameroon for both going the extra mile while looking after us.”
“I come here often and every time I enjoy myself with a great atmosphere. I can chill out as well as meeting new people”
“Popped in for a quick pint and ended up staying for bingo! Jo is an amazing landlady and I had an absolute ball! Free buffet, bingo fun and cheap drinks.... Can't wait to go back! Thank you for cheering me up”
“Great pub. Really friendly and good value.”
“Firstly. Fantastic Atmosphere and live Music. The Landlord Stephen ran for the Local Elections as a independent.. I voted for him.. But hopefully better Luck next time dude. As we obviously need actual regional representation for any positive to change. Cheers Stephen.”

“Stopped by for a meal and a few drinks, and it was such a great experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and everything was really well priced — but what really stood out was the service. Levi was absolutely brilliant: friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel looked after from start to finish. You can tell he really cares about the customer experience. Will definitely be back!”
