“Went for breakfast last thursday, Jackie served me and was nice and friendly, Julie brought my order over she was really nice too. Both really cheered me up, both took the time to talk to me. You dont often get this service now, were people are just kind. thanks for the chat. food and drink great, relaxed atmosphere, staff make you feel welcome. wasnt waiting long either!”
“Lovely coffee house, and friendly staff. Like the cashless due to not wanting to carry purse when out with kids. Busy but thats to be expected on opening weekend. Great addition to the Flash and can't wait for the play area.”
“Our first time in Cafe Rosso, a very chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Traybakes amazing. First ever mocha and it was beautiful. Staff very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.”
“Such a good addition to the Makinson Arcade, especially for people in town for work on their lunch! Lots of veggie and vegan options, and the owners are lovely. I had a rice box and it was delicious! Even the mild salsa is quite spicy, so I would never try the very hot one haha, but there’s lots of different toppings to try and everything is very good value for money ☺️”
“I dine here with a friend at least once a week and we absolutely love it. The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. We have breakfast most visits and they are freshly cooked to order. This week we have thoroughly enjoyed their festive menu with different people (twice). Excellent food, piping hot and very reasonably priced. They have an extensive menu and they cater for most people’s taste/preferences. They are happy for my friends dog to accompany us and the fact that many of their customers are regulars tells you everything. They are an excellent asset to our village and for some pensioners a social lifeline.”
“Reviewing as I'm eating. This is nice. Won't be going anywhere else now I've tried JKs. Nice welcoming when ordering. Top delivery lad and very nice food. That is very well packed and presented. Could pay by card at the door too but found some change. Wish I had give delivery lad a 10 bob tip now. Thanks JKs. That was nice all round.”
“Just happen to drive past and see this place. So glad we stopped. Amazing food such good quality and tasted amazing. I always look how clean a place is and this place is spotless. Can't recommend enough. X”

“Lovely little place, with lovely and friendly staff. It's always nice to be served with a warm and friendly smile.”
“I’ve tried both the afternoon tea and breakfasts and it’s all been lovely, especially the cakes in the afternoon tea! Such good value for money and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The tea room itself looks really cosy and cute too!”
“Great cafe after a lovely walk in Fairy Glen trail. Soup of the day really tasty, sweet potato and rosemary. Staff very attentive. Would recommend a visit.”
“Got it! Here’s a revised version taking into account that the café was closed during your visit: --- Our visit to Greenslate Community Farm in January was delightful. We were thrilled to see donkeys, goats, ferrets, and bunnies. All the animals are lovely and well-cared for. The farm is well-organized and offers various activities suitable for families. Although the café was closed during our visit, it’s usually available and offers delicious homemade food. We enjoyed exploring the nature trails and learning about sustainable farming practices. Parking was convenient and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, providing interesting information about the animals and the farm’s mission. For those planning a visit, I recommend wearing comfortable footwear as the ground can be uneven. It’s also a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket if visiting during the wetter months. Overall, we had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon. Greenslate Community Farm is a wonderful place to connect with nature and learn about farming in a fun and engaging way.”
“We have been waiting for a place to go to have a coffee and a teacake, the food is amazing, not got hrough the whole menu yet, as is the coffee, its so relaxed and comfortable with plenty of comfy places to sit. As soon as you walk through the door you are greated with the most helpfull and kind staff, they cant do enough for you, . They always make you feel welcome, everyone talks to you and makes sure everything is as it should be. Its also good to see the manager is always about and be able to have a chat. All the staff are amazing, food amazing great atmosphere. Well done.”
“The food was really nice and great value too. The service was also excellent! Would definitely recommend.”
“Wow...what can I say this place is a little Gem!! It is my weekly treat to go here for Saturday breakfast whilst my son does Jujitsu. The food is OUTSTANDING. Always tasty and always fast. Tom and his team not only serve amazing food but they do it in what is simply an amazingly friendly and welcoming way. Not only would I recommend this truly fantastic establishment. I would go as far as to say that if you are in the Wigan area this is the only place to go if your hungry.”
“Visit here on a regular basis, the staff simply can't do enough to help, the food is great both I terms of cost and more importantly quality. Coffee here is amazing. They have a reading group for children and now open in the evening with sharing platters and beer, wine and prosecco available, use your time wisely and give it a try!”
“Wow I’m So impressed the food was great but could have had more options on the menu the people are lovely here if you want a quite cheap amazing food and service this is the place to be”
“Great to mooch around to see what weird and wonderful treasures lie inside. The cafe is great, had the small breakfast and they even buttered my toast ! rather than giving you a frozen block of butter, which seems to be the norm these days.”
“If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Wigan, look no further than Hideout. I walked in expecting your average pub experience, but what I got was nothing short of a culinary adventure! First off, the cheese board was fantastic. I’m pretty sure the cheeses were handpicked by angels. Each bite transported me to a whimsical dairy wonderland. I could’ve sworn one of the cheeses winked at me. If you’re lactose intolerant, I suggest you reconsider your life choices and dive headfirst into this cheesy paradise. And then there was the wine. Oh, the wine! I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best wine I’ve ever had. I could practically hear the grapes singing as they made their way to my glass. It was like drinking liquid happiness. If I could bathe in it, I would—though I’m pretty sure that’s frowned upon in public places. Now, let’s talk about Ste, the barman. This guy deserves an award, preferably one shaped like a bottle of wine. He’s not just pouring drinks; he’s crafting liquid magic. He recommended the perfect wine to go with my cheese board, and I’m convinced he has a sixth sense for what will make your taste buds dance. Overall, Hideout is a must-visit. Just be prepared: the cheese may steal your heart, the wine may take your soul, and Ste might just become your new best friend. Go for the cheese, stay for the magic—just don’t tell anyone I said that!”
“Thanks. Always great! Yummy! Recommend for breakfast, lunch or just coffee, tea and cake! Great staff.”

“Chloe was very friendly and welcoming, the spa was warm, cosy with a relaxing vibe. I particularly liked the offer to enjoy the relaxation room after treatment however I would have appreciated knowing this in advance so I could have come prepared/factored that into my timings. The treatment was really nice.”
“Absolutely sensational the Pemberton butty box. These guys do everything bang on. Staff are always incredibly friendly, and I believe the owner is a a well known Cycling stuntman, who runs his own stunt cycling club! I signed up for the "Steval Kinevil crash course mountain biking" and broke 3 ribs, one wrist, and a few hearts....”
“Lovely food at great prices , went on a Friday and was 241 pizzas which were 12' and extremely filling. The tapas options are also great and tasty. Would recommend going to anyone in the area. Food came in good time and was lovely and hot. Belting place”
