“My old rocking chair had seen better days and was almost destined to be thrown out as I didn't know how it could be fixed. Contacted Alex and decided to see what he could do with it. The chair is now so comfortable, even better than it was when new and the wood looks beautiful. Alex didn't get rid of the worn part on the arms that I wanted to keep for the memories but even there it looks beautiful. He matched the pattern on the upholstery so well and everything was carefully finished with great attention to detail. Alex's communications were always prompt and dealing with something I hadn't done before was made very easy by Alex. Happy to recommend.”

“The Flower Farm provided the flowers for our wedding at West Tower in July 24 and we were delighted. The flowers were beautiful and perfectly chosen, all provided in lovely vases so we could send them home with guests after the event and they lasted until well after the big day. “The best burger spot in town. Food is always piping hot and fresh. Side note if you are looking through the reviews there is a false one from last year of a raw burger. That burger is from McDonald's and if you just search raw McDonald's burger it comes up on Google images from a news site. Please don't be put off by the fake review.”

“We had an incredible dining experience at The Fat Italian in Burscough! From start to finish, every dish was a delight. The starters were impressive - the garlic bread, goat cheese and pine nut bruschetta, and pane olio were all delicious and perfectly prepared. For mains, the prawn pasta was good, and the salmon and asparagus was a standout - the white sauce was absolutely amazing! But the real showstopper was the dessert! We were blown away by the Daim butterscotch sundae, it was truly unbelievable!”

“The rice container was filled full of broken rice with only a thin layer of whole grain on top to make it seem good quality. Keema naan only had any keema in about 1/3 of the whole thing. Lids not on curry containers correctly so curry spilled out when taking containers out the bag. However, very quick and happy service. Shame about the quality which is usually very good.”

“My washing machine, which I bought from Irelands broke down at the height of the crisis. It was over 5 years old and out of warranty but well maintained. When I mentioned that as a key worker I had to wash my uniform daily Andy at Ireland's couldn't do enough for me. The machine was fixed and returned within a few days. I've always used Irelands and recommend them to all my friends and family. Would highly recommend them - an excellent family business in the heart of Ormskirk.”

“We recently used Pemberton Flowers for a Coffin Spray and some Flower Buttonholes, for my Nan’s funeral. The Coffin Spray was absolutely stunning, and the perfect colours for my Nan (Lilac, Purple and White) and the Buttonholes matched perfectly. The flowers were so fresh and the staff were very patient and helpful. As a family, we would highly recommend Pemberton Flowers, and will be using their services regularly in future!”

“My son and I had food this evening. Allthough we arrived just after 9pm and closes at 10. We were not rushed. Was served by a lovely, friendly guy, called Scott. He was so helpful and asked us what we prefer, suggested different platters, and explained the differences clearly. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent customer service. Scott is a credit to this restaurant. I would even go as far as saying the customer service we received from Scott has been the best I have had in a long time. Thanks. We will be going again.
