“We booked a room for 3 adults, then were upgraded to a suite with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and sitting area. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were superb. Much, much more than expected from a service station hotel. Very near to Cheshire Oaks outlet village. We will definitely stay here again.”

“Only discovered this recently as was driving past after working late and was surprised it was open. Googled opening times and found out it is the best place to go for beers/spirits past 10pm. Staff are always friendly and courteous”

“Had a table for 2 on Sunday 24/08 at 3.30pm. Arrived slightly ahead of time. Table ready. Food delivered in a timely fashion. Wow! Good home cooked Sunday roast. We couldn’t finish it! Staff excellent and friendly! Pub is great and would recommend!”

“The only top tier Chinese takeaway I've found since moving to Chester earlier this year. Never eaten in at the restaurant itself, as I tend to just ordered online. They have a really good app with great deals. Really nice food and fresh, delivery is quick. Thank you!”

“Great for younger children. Animals are obviously well cared for (although lots of caged birds and ducks some people may not like). Reasonably priced entry with lots of opportunities to pet and feed the animals. 3 members of staff actively stopped to talk to us about the animals they were caring for which was nice. Wide variety of animals including a Barn owl, ferrets, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, canaries, donkeys, hens, peacocks and (rescued) parrots. 2 good playgrounds and a small indoor soft play. The food in the cafe was OK. Menu catered well for dietary requirements. No picnics allowed FYI. We were there for 4 hours including food and feeding the lambs so all in all a good day out.”

“Cafe housed in the lobby of a former cinema, large and airy, high ceilings and panoramic street corner window. You have a great view of the street, so can really watch the world go by as you sip your coffee. Seems it's been mostly the same staff for the five years I've been visiting. That makes for a very consistent service. They are all friendly and one chap is particularly jovial, which makes for a great atmosphere. The tea is a particularly tasty brew. I like to have a cuppa with one of their muffins or the raspberry roulade, which is quite substantial. I would like to try the tiramisu next. It can get quite busy at the front, but the far end of the cafe can be quite peaceful, especially if you sit in one of the booths with the semi-circular high fabric seats. They soften the acoustics nicely.”

“lovely food, service was very nice and prompt, tables where clean and plates cleared quickly. Some dishes weren’t available but that didn’t impact the experience at all, still 50/60 still available, food stations were also kept clean soo overall very nice experience. “Been a couple of years since we were passing ,and it's clean welcoming and our food was really good and reasonable price 2 adults and a senior meal ( mother in law) plus drinks 40 quid ,mash was super fluffy and nice thick gravy ,misses loved the pie ,mush and tarragon, the gentle that delivered the food was friendly and really professional, loved it, defo pop back would definitely recommend plus free parking and loads of space inside the place to sit and relax”

The shop is a narrow shop and can reduce the comfort, but this cannot be the fault of the staff, the comments made me sad, but I was a satisfied and friendly customer, the future is better than the past and luck is always waiting for us.”
