Maxine, my stylist, is not only incredibly nice and friendly but also has a magical touch. Her head massages during hair washes are so relaxing. What sets her apart is her knowledge about which hair cut suits best, and she works her magic to bring that vision to life. I'm delighted with the result!”

“Samir cut my 5 year old's hair excellently. He had a bad experience previously at another barbers and so my boy was a bit nervous. Samir went above and beyond our expectations at putting my little boy at ease with lovely communication and so he was happy to have the full haircut inc clippers for the back and sides. “It's nice that Croydon has this cinema. It's a real asset for a town centre that is being decimated at every turn. It's unique in that it's tucked away, even though it's in the very centre, just by the Town Hall. With just 65 seats, it's very independent-minded, with a screening more or less daily. The staff really want to assist. I shall definitely return.”

“My secret to a perfect day: double egg, bacon,onion and mushroom sandwich with a drizzle of brown sauce...The two brothers are proud in what they do - hard to find these days... and ask for runny eggs. My mouth is watering while typing although I just had a toasted BLT(on the diet - new years resolution. Still asked to throw a runny egg in it.)”

“Ponte Nuovo has got to be the best Italian in Croydon. A great selection of starters, the bread and oil is so simple yet incredibly moreish, and the main courses are full of flavour and depth. Big big portions. Save space for the deserts, the gigantic profiteroles in a sea of chocolate sauce, the insanely rich tiramisu. Staff are very friendly and speak highly of the italian chef and kitchen staff; a sure sign of a good front of house/back of house team relationship. Service was perfect, meals bought out together and well presented. This is somewhere you bring family for a great dinner. At this time of year it had a good but not overpowering christmas decorative theme. We're going back soon.”

“I had an amazing meal her with my mate. We had the the meat platter for 2 to start with and it was very tasty. For main I had a lamb curry and the meat was so tender. Overall this place is very good value for money”

“Me and my friend came into the cafe for breakfast, not expecting it to be any more than a greasy spoon. We were so pleasantly surprised to find such a gem. The place itself is big and modern and very clean. The staff were so polite and helpful and the food was yummy and very reasonably priced. I will be becoming a real regular here.”

“Visited a couple of times since restrictions were lifted. Very professional service with staff attending tables to take orders regularly. Definitely London pricing, cocktails will set you back £9.50+ a pop but they are delicious and pack a punch. And the food!!!...I had the hake, partner had the bone marrow burger - I have not had food that good since the Michelin starred Albert's Table closed down. Outstanding! You do need to book in advance and you only get 2 hrs per booking per day. Not all tables have heaters but vast majority do and 90% of tables are covered. On our 2nd visit the heater above our table wasn't working which was a shame because we would have stayed longer if it had been. A must visit for cocktail lovers and foodies alike.”

“Lovely spot for a Sunday Roast. Took the Misses and some mates here a few weeks ago and the grub was very good and very reasonably priced too. One of the best roast spuds I've had in a pub. Guinness was up there with some of the better pints I've had. Not a massive fan of the inside of the pub, bit like a sports club I prefer more of a dirty old mans boozer, but it has a cracking beer garden for the sunny days. I'd return for a summers sesh on the ciders.”
