“I went to Giggling Squid – Kingston upon Thames for my birthday. It wasn’t busy as it was a weekday, and I absolutely loved it! The staff were so polite, friendly, and professional. The atmosphere was calm with beautiful décor — lovely colours, chandeliers, and paintings. Everything was very clean and stylish, including the toilets. The seafood dishes were delicious, and although I had the lamb shank which wasn’t my favourite, it was still tasty. Perfect place for nice birthday photos and a great dining experience!”

“This place changed hands recently (late 2023), so the previous photos and reviews are no longer relevant. It is still a Korean restaurant, now called Yami. It now has Korean BBQ, Sushi, Korean fried Chicken, Bibimbap etc. It does lack some dishes the old place had (no Gimbap or udon soups) but is still good food and inexpensive. £20 for half a fried chicken and Bibimbap.”

“I rate 5 star for the service as all the staff are fantastic, 5 stars for the lovely cakes, but sadly, only a 1 star for the atmos/ambience because the new owners, I believe, decided to remove the beautiful piano that I used to adore playing there. Also it was linked to constant background piano notes, cleverly playing out of the piano while no one played it. That really was quite relaxing and unique whilst enjoying the food and cakes, and after my weekly office job , I would look forward to my visits there at the weekends to unwind and sometimes play.. A great hub and centrepiece has been ripped out of the heart of the cafe. It blended in very well and also was a fine backdrop against the old churchyard opposite through the tall windows. I just was preparing my Xmas carols repertoire and some more new lyrics when I visited there last Saturday, but my piano was gone!”

“We are sushi lovers and always looking for a great sushi places. This place is very local for us, so we decided to give it a try. As we understood place opened recently, food quality is amazing, lots of ingredient and everything is super fresh! As started we took aubergine (on the photo), just delicious and then we went for rolls only, 4 in total and I cannot tell which one was better, all amazing. Guys, please don’t get worse with the time. Please keep the same food quality. Can’t recommend this place enough and looking forward to come back.. tomorrow ;)”

It was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared, with amazing depth of taste. The bread soaked up the broth beautifully, making every bite comforting and satisfying. You can really tell it’s made with care and authentic tradition. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and ideal for families or casual dining. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the quality is excellent. I highly recommend Ranya Restaurant, especially if you want to try an outstanding Pacha Tashreeb. “Went on a Saturday 2/3pm overall waited 45 minutes but was worth it! Food was super yummy and the portions are huge (they should never changed that!!!!) I ordered a dirty boy with the rib or beef brisket (can’t remember - but it had no bone) and it was honestly so flavourful. I’m sat at home craving this again but can’t get any because I’m far! Service was amazing and I can’t wait to go again.”

“A little gem. Went here last night very friendly nice lady serving us we decided to have the Korean hot pot as we had never tried before and sounded really nice. We had to move tables as all are not equipped with heat for the hot pot but it wasn’t an issue. The food came quick and tasted absolutely delicious. On top of that it was pretty good value for money. A nice little place with nice staff and amazing food what more could you ask for. Will definitely be going back.”

“The food here is delicious and authentic. I’ve been here multiple times and it’s one of my go to places to have dinner, out. I highly recommend the Stir Fried Glass noodles dish with beef as well as any Pho. The portions are also a great size and the staff is always kind, friendly and quick.”

“Been a regular here for years and you’re probably thinking why I haven’t left a review. Because the FOOD always gets the best of me and it’s all I can think about. It sends me to another dimension eating their food. Highly recommend their chicken tikka biriyani as it’s one of a kind and one you will not want to miss. Cheeky bugger even comes with a veggie curry which is just the cherry on top. Takeaway is family friendly as well - everytime I come with my kids, one of the chefs always gives them sweets or a chocolate bar.
