“I've been coming to this fish and chip shop for over 10 years, and it's about time I left a review! The quality has been consistently excellent over the years – perfectly crispy batter, fresh fish, and generous portions. The chips are always hot and golden, just the way they should be. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick, even during busy times. It's hands down the best chippy around, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommended!”

“This was the first time I’ve had a proper Vietnamese Pho. Everything about the meal was fantastic! Flavours, textures, fresh ingredients. Best of all, all the chicken in the menu is halal. The portions were generous, and I left feeling full & satisfied rather than bloated and sluggish. I had the lemongrass chicken, the spicy chicken pho and the coconut milk & red bean drink. Highly recommend this spot for a great meal to enjoy with another person.”

“My favourite Indian food place by far! Good service, staffs were very attentive and give you recommendations if it’s your first time, it is quite hard to decide just looking at the names of dishes. In order of my liking: 1. Grilled squash curry, cos it’s saucy do order with rice (Jeera Pulao) or nan, we shared one portion of rice between the two of us and the portion was generous. The squash curry had bits of hazelnuts in it, slightly sweet and spicy, great mix of flavours, well seasoned, everything’s on point. 2. Burnt Garlic Tarka Dal, slightly spicy and goes well with rice. 3. Keralan fried chicken, eat as soon as they come otherwise they get cold and sad. The sauce came with it was some kind of mix of mayo with Indian spices, very nice.”

“This 50 year old business is surely an institution at this point. The owner tells me that one of the beautifully cared for plants in the window is 30 years old, saying that is was “older than you!”. After Christmas he says it will be time to close as he will retire. The food was delicious. What a loss to the community. This is exactly what makes London, London.”

“My husband and I came to celebrate our birthdays on a late night dinner reservation. We were immediately met with smiles and kindness from the host and they were able to sit us about 10 minutes early. We were quickly brought drinks and popcorn which was so sweet and unexpected. Our server Alex was so fun, attentive, and full of energy even though it was late at night (we had a 10:15pm reservation)! He helped make our time such a joy. Alex was absolutely great and it was a pleasure to have him as our server. Even though it wasn’t the exact date of our birthdays, he kindly brought us prosecco to cheers with without us asking. We ordered steak, the chili pepper burger, and macaroni & cheese which were all delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and the burger was juicy as ever. The macaroni was so good we ordered a second! The food came out quick and the prices were very affordable especially for a steakhouse—great for being on a budget! I would highly recommend this place and I wish we could come again during our stay! You will be blessed if you happen to have Alex as your server! Thank you Alex and Flat Iron! We hope to be back!”
