“Iv been wanting to come here for a long time and each time something has came up. I went there with my wife and I had pie and mash as I'm originally from east London and it did not disappoint. My wife had egg on toast and the lady ask how she wanted it and made it perfectly. I will definitely be going back.”

“Charming restaurant less than 5 mins from Surbiton Rail station and opposite Sainsbury’s. The old Post Office building has been repurposed as a restaurant, fitted out in a sustainable way with genuine Turkish designs and materials. My server had a Masters in restaurant design so was knowledgeable and happy to point out some of the features. The coffee was excellent and the Nutella and sea-salt cookie was something I’d never tasted before and had a light and delicate texture. Good access for wheelchairs and my go to coffee stop in Surbiton when on foot or a motorcycle or bicycle with parking right outside the door.”

“Popped in for lunch on the spur of the moment and thank goodness we did. We were greeted warmly and given the menu and chose, I had lamb souvlaki which was absolutely delicious, the chunks weren't massive like in other restaurants which I don’t like, they were cooked to perfection with strong Mediterranean flavours, my wife had a salad that had avocado and Halloumi with a trio of dips to go with again the flavours were perfect, the atmosphere was great and we will definitely be going again as it’s local for us. Thanks for a wonderful lunch”

“Family favourite! We've been coming here for years and the food has always been good. We highly recommend the Lamb Shank Jalfrezi and the Tandoori King Prawn. But all the food is very good. We really appreciate that since the pandemic they haven't raised their prices and the food is still great quality. The service is always very good and thoughtful too. We will always rave about The Agra!”

“Used to come here occasionally as a child growing up in the 70s/80s. Moved back to Surbiton with my own family several years ago and was so happy to see they were still going strong. Have been coming here ever since. Dishes taste fantastic, quality is consistent, prices are very reasonable, preparation is fast and staff are friendly. Tried other Chinese takeaways in the area but none of them come close. A real jewel. Bravo, guys.”

“We had a lovely time here at Harts. Food and drinks were great. Good portion sizes, the food was hot and the staff were very attentive. The only criticism would be that the spotlights are incredibly bright and harsh but that of course is no fault of the staff! Just maybe something that could be looked at,”

“This was my first ever proper Chinese meal due to being. Coeliac but I felt immediately at ease. When first sitting down we were asked if anyone had any allergies and I was given the gluten free menu. There was so much choice our group got everything gluten free so I could try a variety of dishes. When the sauces were brought out we were immediately told that they were gluten free which was a nice touch. My group told me that it tasted like normal Chinese which made me extra happy as this is a cuisine that had previously been inaccessible to me until visiting here. Will be visiting here again.”

The spaces are a good size, I was allowed to decorate the area and the food was brought out on time and was delicious. “I went to this place before my shift finished to order some food and told the boy serving i would be back in 10-15min.It was quiet and The boy was serving on his own at the front (young boy, named Janes, sorry for misspelling). He was giving fast and friendly service and apparently also doing deliveroo orders! He had my food ready by the time i came back and he kept it warm on the side for me. Portioning was great! Nice detail to write “Enjoy” on the lid :)”

““I had the absolute pleasure of trying the Persian pizza at Village Pizza in Surbiton, and it was truly outstanding. This pizza took me straight back home with its nostalgic flavors and that special touch that only authentic Persian-style pizza can bring. The service was equally fantastic—especially the lady behind the counter, who I believe is the owner. She made the whole experience warm and welcoming. I can’t recommend Village Pizza enough if you’re looking for a delicious slice of something special. Five stars all the way!””

“Mr Walid and Lena are beautiful people and they serve delicious food. I have been coming here everyday for over a year and they honestly treat me so warm and friendly, like family. The food is fresh and seasoned to perfection. I often struggle with what to pick but I can never go wrong with the chicken Tawouk or chicken shawarma or the lamb kofte. No matter what you order it will be made to your liking and you will not regret giving their food a try. The service is fast and efficient. Everything is well worth the price! “It is a lovely place where me and my friends have went for the past year in between our lessons in sixth form. The Owner is always incredibly friendly and kind and the food tastes incredible no matter the day (especially the panini’s and milkshakes). “A proper coffee house which has very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They can tell you where the coffee is sourced (all of it is Colombian), the story behind the location & the processes undertaken. They actually roast all of their beans in house which gives it a very fresh and flavourful taste. The staff will help you identify what beans that would suit your coffee choice best, I.e americano, flat white etc. Really recommend visiting the cafe to sit in or take coffee for your commute from Berrylands. They also offer various pastries and snacks etc to complement your choice. I feel like that this is an independent cafe not to be missed, with expertise and flavours which will not be found at a local chain coffeehouse!”
