Service throughout was excellent. We tried a mix of dishes: the beef bulgogi (incredible), yang yum and soy garlic chicken (both delicious), takoyaki (unreal), and agedashi aubergine and chicken katsu — all fantastic. Along with three beers, the total came to just £35 each, which felt like amazing value. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!”

Kimchi Pork Tofu Stew Classic dishes are always the best test of a kitchen’s skill, and this one passed with flying colors. The stew arrived bubbling hot, with a strong, appetizing aroma of fermented kimchi. Just one spoonful of the tangy, spicy broth was enough to awaken the appetite. The tofu was soft, silky, and generously portioned — a hearty and comforting dish that really satisfies. Side Dishes The complimentary kimchi was crisp and flavorful — exactly as it should be. The bean sprouts, though a bit mild in taste, would’ve been perfect with a touch of sesame oil for added depth. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“My wife and I have always loved Korean food. Been to many places around the UK, have friends from Korea, and have been to Seoul as well. This is a great place. It has that Korean homemade feel to their food. Not going to lie, it’s not flashy food, it’s not trying to be in your face, it’s not instagrammable. It isn’t overly spiced. It’s not trying to adhere to the local palette. Instead, it feels genuine, fresh, and from the heart-like a lovely homemade meal. To us that defines what a 5 star review should be. “One of the best local Korean places. The sitting area itself is a bit small, as there are just a few tables, but it just makes it feel more homely. I would definitely recommend a bibimbap or one of the stews, as they are very good in flavour and qty. Otherwise do a delivery, as he cooks everything on order, so it's as fresh as it can be”

“First visit to The Petite Coree this week, been wanting to try for a while & it did not disappoint. We had a bbq table for 4 people. We tried a huge number of dishes as so much we loved the sound of. Highly recommend the feather blade beef for the bbq, so good we orders 2 rounds! Loved the glass vegetable noodles, the bibimbap & the vegetable dumplings were amazing! The tofu & kimchi omelette were also delicious.”

“Went with my flatmates 2 weeks ago and had a delicious lunch. From pajeon to japchae to samgyupsal: all was great. I read a lot of reviews of Korean restaurants in New Malden and Azit had the best reviews for service: I can attest they're real. I had a small accident when one of the guys dropped the crab in the spicy sauce and it splashed into my right eye. The waitress was amazing then as well (she was very attentive all the time) and she even brought me an ice pack after I managed to get out of the restroom. She really made this experience a lot more pleasant considering Korean food should not be tasted with the eyes.”

We tried different bibimbap and the tofu and sea food stew, so tasty and not too spicy, which was great for us ! Plates are really affordable in my opinion. And the service is great ! “A little gem. Went here last night very friendly nice lady serving us we decided to have the Korean hot pot as we had never tried before and sounded really nice. We had to move tables as all are not equipped with heat for the hot pot but it wasn’t an issue. The food came quick and tasted absolutely delicious. On top of that it was pretty good value for money. A nice little place with nice staff and amazing food what more could you ask for. Will definitely be going back.”

“Kimchee has a modest entrance that’s easy to spot, and it already had a short queue of people waiting when we arrived. I headed straight to the host stand to let them know we had a booking for seven. The host was quick, polite, and took us straight in. It was good to see they take bookings seriously because we avoided the queue entirely. At first we were placed at a shared six person table, but when we explained we were celebrating and wanted a bit more privacy, he found us a quieter two person table at the back. That was a really considerate touch. Within seconds of sitting down, our waitress brought over water and cups. She was organised, polite, and had a good sense of timing. She let us read the menu without hovering, but as soon as we looked up to find her, she came over. She took the order, repeated everything back, and checked for allergies. We both ordered drinks. I had the lychee love, which was sweet and very easy to enjoy. My partner had a pina colada that tasted as good as it looked. The food came out in stages, not all at once, but it arrived fairly quickly. We had beef bulgogi, spicy chicken bulgogi, avocado salad, sticky rice, and cheese tteokbokki. The tteokbokki was very spicy, so something to keep in mind, but the flavour was excellent. The rice cakes have that soft, chewy texture that’s very different but full of character. It’s more of a side dish, but a good one. The beef and chicken came on small charcoal burners that kept everything warm and gave the meat a nice toasted edge. It made the meal feel a bit more special. The atmosphere in the main area is busy and lively, with the noise coming from conversations and the open kitchen. I didn’t notice any music, but it didn’t feel like anything was missing. The lighting is low with focused spotlights, giving the place a calm, Korean inspired aesthetic with soft shadows and a warm tone. Sitting in the quieter back section was perfect for us. The total was 96 pounds for two people. For the amount of food, the cocktail quality, and the general experience, I think that’s fair. The staff were friendly and efficient, and everything ran smoothly without mistakes. Overall, Kimchee delivered a great evening. Good food, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere. I’d happily go back.”

It's cosy, relaxed and the service has always been great. If you love sushi and wasabi, I highly recommend the Hot Special Roll - Tower Bridge. “Incredibly practical Food store serving Korean and other Asian cuisines, open seven days, carries a wide range of pickles, sauces, instant pots, loose noodle packets, and sweet delights in plenty. Wide variety Mochi and pancakes are delicious.  It's not sure if the aisles are wheelchair-friendly because they grow somewhat narrow once passed the entryway. If you are unable to reach anything on the shelf, I'm sure your staff would be pleased to get them for you. It's a terrific spot to get supplies for a movie night or travel munchies. It's a welcome diversion from the typical grocery chains. After a five-year decline, I believe the Broadway mall is finally starting to take on its original character. They wont accept CASH..”
