“I had a fantastic experience at the Battleaxes pub. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was delicious. I especially want to mention our waiter, Hayden, who was exceptional. He was extremely understanding and attentive when it came to food allergies, no question was too difficult. His kindness and professionalism really made the visit stand out. Highly recommend the Battleaxes—great service, great food, and a great team!”
“I visit most days with some friends and we always receive a warm welcome and great friendly service from a lady who tells me her name is Sharlene. She makes this pub the friendly and inviting pub that it is. Sharlene is a credit to the place. Can you please thank her from my friends and myself”

“Honestly the best cafe in St Albans! Fantastic service and staff that care about their craft with delicious coffee!”
“Adam Winter is a great ground school instructor. He makes lessons fun and gets to the crux of the material. He brings years of experience as a pilot and flight instructor. He really saved me a lot of time.”

“Harvey was brilliant thanks - food great”
“For pub type food this was excellent. Friendly staff, served efficiently (bar coffee at the end). Four of us, drinks, mains and puddings £75 after 25% gym discount - great value. Good car parking as well. Loved the big screens and table football to keep our grandson occupied. Think my wife’s comment on the way home summed it up ‘would go there again!’.”
“I remembered this as being a not very good 'spoons so was pleasantly surprised. Superb Sunday roast (I had the lamb). Vegetables not overcooked like most places. I followed with the sticky toffee pudding which was gooey and delicious. Excellent food made better by delightful and cheery service. (Till receipt says her name was Connie). Will definitely be back.”
“I will start by saying that I am a coffee lover and this Starbucks in probably one of the best. The coffee is always amazing and the staff are just the best. Little to say that my dog loves it as well and it became part of our morning routine to stop and have well deserved coffee and papuccino.”
