“I really liked this local Turkish restaurant. Food was standard Turkish but well done. Pricing was fair. Service excellent. The reason for the 4 stars for the atmosphere was the noise level. It might just be my bad hearing, but I struggled with the conversation. I recommend this place.”

“We visited on a Saturday and took advantage of their excellent 2 courses lunch set menu which is priced at under £20. The restaurant is on Dean Street and well situated in the heart of busy Soho. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. The cuisine is French and offers a flavour of the French Bistro and Brasserie. The menu is quite extensive and offers traditional French dishes. We really enjoyed both the starters and the mains that we ordered especially the Sauteed Lamb Kidneys, the Grilled Mussels, the Beetroot Gratin. For the mains we can recommend Spinach and Mushroom Gruyere cheese open Pie, the Beef Bourguignon as well as the Pan Fried sesame crusted Tuna Steak as well as the Chargrilled Entrecote Steak. All the food was very good, being tasty, seasoned and well presented. The staff were also very friendly, efficient and helpful with the menu. The ambiance was great too not being too loud. We had a great time and will certainly revisit.”

“An Italian style coffee shop. Excellent coffee which is smooth and strong. The cakes are really great and home made. Very reasonable price as well. The lunch options are paninis, sandwiches and salad bowls, plus baked potatoes and priced between £3.50 and £8.50. Cakes £2.90 Coffees around £2-3 with Americano £2.40 and cappuccino £2.70. This is a friendly cafe with outdoor seating and ideal for coffee and cake whilst out shopping or light lunches with friends. A really lovely addition to this fast improving High Street.”

“I went in on Saturday for a pre-football brunch. The place was lively, the service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was top-notch, the eggs beans and bubble were delicious. And we got a 2-2 draw,, which was a great result.”

“Went for brunch on Sunday without a reservation. Had to wait for about 10-15 Mon for a table for 4 but all worth it. Had smashed avocado and American pancakes, my other half had pulled pork. All was great and looking forward to our next visit. Menu was looking great. Felt bright and modern. Service was polite, quick and efficient.”

“This is a cosy and welcoming pub with a lovely lit fireplace, which was great, especially coming into the dark nights! The food was SUPERB with very friendly, attentive staff. There was an Irish Folk group on and the whole atmosphere was electric. They have other things on different nights, so we will definitely be returning to this gem of a pub.”

“I was there yesterday at a lunch party for my uncle and Aunt’s Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The food and the service was really wonderful and a credit to the Haven. The food was beautifully presented and served hot. The room was elegantly decorated for 25 guests seated at a long table. Nothing was too much for the staff, I was so impressed. There was a small delay with the food being served at that particular time due to a wake being held in another private room but we were kept informed and apologies were offered. “A night to remember at Steak & Co.! Just a stones throw from 54 Queens Gate our Hotel for the week. Our evening began with the kind and warm welcome with a smile from our server, Elena. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive; she explained everything perfectly and gave us plenty of time to choose. We took her recommendations and were so glad we did. We ordered the 6 oz and 8 oz fillets, along with the macaroni and cheese, garlic and chili prawns, and the artichoke and spinach dip. Elena gave us time before she came to the table to ask if we were ready for our Mains. When our mains arrived, Elena showed us how to prepare the steaks on the hot stone right at our table. The "Steak on a Stone" experience was fantastic, and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fillets were 5* quality at this establishment, well worth every £ spent. Every dish was delicious and flavorful. The only slight letdown was the garlic and chili prawns, which had little to no flavor and were small, but were a perfect pairing with the fillet. I don't usually eat sides when I have any steak. So usually i get an appetizer like prawns. A special thank you to Elena for making our dinner truly memorable. We will definitely be back to the Gloucester location to ask for Elena.”

“I've been a loyal takeaway customer of Band of Burgers, but decided to dine in this time, and I'm glad I did! The food was exceptional. The sweet potato chips were outstanding - perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside, just as they should be. The burger was absolutely delicious, bursting with flavor. While the nachos were only okay, the sauces accompanying them were tasty. My only critique is that the portion of minced meat on the nachos was a bit lacking, which affected my overall enjoyment. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Band of Burgers for their amazing food!”

“What a welcomed surprise at the Founders Arms. My mom and I took our first trip from the sunshine of Florida to a late November cold winter visit to London. We were so blessed to have stumbled upon this amazing place while on a personal walking tour with a friend who lives in London walking from Buckingham Palace to see the Change of Guard, to Big Ben and now across the Thames to this part of town. Neither she or her colleagues have ever visited this Pub so it was a first time for everyone. We immediately walked in from the bitter cold and were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Once our party of 3 were sat down, we had had a prime spot away from the crowded bar and middle tables and were placed closer to the back area. This was ideal because we had a river view of the Thames that opened up to a postcard picture of the city with people walking by on the outside. Not only did we get placed in a great spot, our server OLLIE was a complete gem. His service was impeccable, thoughtful and genuine. He also made us feel welcomed and not as tourists. He laughed with us and gave us some inside information on other things to see and do around Borough Market. The menu was all Gluten Free and that worked perfect for my friend’s dietary needs. What also worked was that my mom and I wanted to experience our first Pub meal of the famous “Fish and Chips.” We knew London was famous and well known for this simple meal, but when it arrived at our table, we were shocked that this was like a King/Queen sized meal that was unexpected and with their smashed peas. I didn’t know this was a thing, but Hulk Smash all the peas because they were good. The whole meal was WOW! My pictures do not do it justice. We even ordered my mom’s meal To-Go back to our flat. It actually stayed hot and was very well packaged for the journey. Kudos to the chef and the staff. Be prepared to spend at least 30£ per person as a side note. In the UK, the tip is already included so expect to be treated like royalty. Ollie was amazing in service. I’m so sorry to have waited this long to write about our experience, but it’s finally here. If he forgot something, he quickly apologized and brought it to the table right away. He also gave some helpful suggestions when trying some of the non-alcoholic drinks. The Apple and Elderflower was out of this world and so was the Hot Honey and Pineapple drink that my friend ordered and I had a sample sip. Wow! Whoever came up with these drink menus are to be commended. I mean wow. They were quite expensive for the first time guest, however we now know what to expect. Thank you Ollie and the Founder’s Arms for making our first trip to a Pub memorable, exciting, fun as well as giving us our first taste of London.”

“We held my grandad’s wake at The Nag’s Head last week and I honestly couldn’t fault them. Artur, the general manager, was incredibly helpful throughout and made the whole process so easy for us. The staff were kind, attentive and respectful, which meant a lot to our family on such a difficult day. They put on a really lovely buffet that was well presented and enjoyed by everyone, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. Thank you to Artur and his team!”
