“We came here for cocktails and were not let down. The margaritas were perfect and I highly recommend the King Gambit. I also got an espresso martini, which I was reluctant about as it said it had agave rather than sugar syrup, but I was pleasantly surprised, and the whole table was jealous. The service was on point, kind and rapid staff. The garden area is very nice with overhead heating. It wasn’t too busy for a Friday night at 9pm for a table of 5.”

“Week 2: the booze tube ,around our world on a freedom pass: Measures are 25ml or 50ml so English Isobella was a great host she made us very welcome ,this pub is closer to the equator than our home in Finchley so we had to take off our coats as it was hot. A circus theme to the place ,we tried to dogem but got caught and had to pay the bill Isobella chose our next station on the random app,hello Wimbledon park !”

“We had a little party in Paradise , the staff were amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Big thank you to Kristina (not sure if this is the right spelling of her name), the manager, she was absolutely fantastic. No request was too much. The food was delicious, we ordered different boards and there was plenty of food to go around. We were also allowed to play our own music as it was Sunday and there was no DJ. Lovely experience!”

“We recently booked a family meal for a large party including dogs and kids and were so pleased with the reception and the food we had at the Queen’s Head. The table was lovely and the staff couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome. The Sunday roast was superb (the lamb especially). Great experience, thank you!”

“We came here as a group of 4 for lunch and had a pleasant experience. The place itself is very cozy and quite roomy. My favorite part was hands down the mulled wine, very delicious. We got the burger which was decent, the honey&chilli camembert was good and the onion rings surprisingly delicious. Service was friendly and polite, we even got asked by the duty manager if everything was fine.”

Popped in for lunch with my mum and baby and we were so well looked after by Ruben and his colleague whose name we didn't catch! They were so thoughtful and welcoming. “Stayed in the duke room . Chris the manager showed us to our room told us the ins and outs. Great help. Lovely room’s complimentary drinks etc. Room has everything equipped for a weekend away. Bath robes slippers shower towels . Brilliant service and the breakfast was blimmin great too”

“Amazing place, great heaters outside. Great scotch egg. When we were there some Jubel fairies were handing out free Jubel. Also has good music and is cozy inside. Would recommend for after work drinks, meeting your girlfriend’s friends for the first time or goodbye drinks. Much love the allwyne castle”

“Couldn’t really ask for a better local. The staff and patrons are always friendly, the prices are good, the ale is fresh and the atmosphere is comfy as hell. Always got the sports on too (and enough screens to make a man envious); perfect place for a drink with family or friends, or a solo outing to watch the football. Top notch!”

“Great local pub with excellent pizza. We had four different pizzas and enjoyed them all. Thin crust, high quality ingredients and overall a hit with everyone in the family. Good selection of beers on tap and nice benches out front for those who prefer to eat outside. Enjoyed the two cats and the fox that came by while I was waiting for my pizza.”

“Managed to get a last minute booking for Sunday lunch and how happy I was that we did. From the minute we arrived and were welcomed, by Joel our waiter, the experience just got better and better. Joel was lovely and so good with the children as well. Advised us on food options and very courteous and friendly. And the roast dinner was just amazing, I had lamb rump, 2 of us had the trio of roast and 1 had the pie of the day. Food was absolutely great, best roast dinner I have had for years. Will be back.”

“Finished my walk in Farnborough Village and really glad I stumbled upon this traditional public house. Professional & friendly bar staff. Clean interior. Real ale was kept in excellent condition. Competitive prices. Would definitely visit again.”

“Good beer and food when my wife and I visited this week. I gather this pub has recently been refurbished. What I liked immediately was the old-fashioned style of the interior, with dim lights, red carpet and wooden tables with stools and upholstered bench along the wall. The atmosphere was nice too, though as the evening wore on, it filled up more with people and that thing happened where they turn up the music, and people shout more, and they turn up the music even more. I don't like music when the sound system cannot cope with the people shouting, so all you can hear is what the bass guitarist is doing on a classic rock track, because the middle and treble is completely masked by the noise of people talking (or shouting). There seems no point to it. I don't understand why places do that.”

“Didn't have food but doesn't allow you to leave a review unless you mark it. Great friendly pub in Plaistow we came down for the West Ham Parade and plotted up here in the beer garden. Staff all friendly and service was quick which was difficult as the pub was mobbed, good job you lot”
