“I popped in on Monday meeting a few friends and even though it was quiet, the decor was absolutely amazing - old school pub with leather armchairs and sofas and a real working fireplace! We ordered some food and were looked after by Emi who I’ve got to say - really knows her stuff when it comes to the food menu ( recommended us the burger and truffle fries ) and the drinks menu. Thank you for attending to us Emi and we will see you again real soon. **New Review** Was with some friends and decided to pop in for a drink or two and as soon as we walked in, the smell from the kitchen immediately grabbed us! We ended up looking at the Sunday roast menu and were looked after the manager Emi who suggested trying the sides of cauliflower cheese, creamy spinach and pigs in blankets - excellent choice! One of the guys also ended up ordering the beef roast and we ended up sharing! Warm and comforting as always! Thanks Emi and the team - see you next time.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing experience at The Finsbury! This pub is a true gem located right next to Finsbury Park, creating a fantastic atmosphere. The diverse selection of beers, wines, and cocktails catered to every taste. I indulged in a delicious Margherita Pizza, a classic favorite, and paired it with a refreshing pint of Guinness - a perfect combination! The live music at The Finsbury was top-notch, adding even more excitement to the evening. This place is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a great time in the area.”

“My favourite burger in London! It is worth the hype. The patty is still thick and the balance of the pickles and sauce with the fat from the burger and bread. Chefs kiss. Also so cute, they serve it on a tea plate. They don’t open their kitchen on game days.”

“This is the best pub I’ve found in London. It’s simple, authentic, and free from crowds of tourists. The prices are fair for those who live in Archway. Amber and Chris, who work there, are always friendly and welcoming. The pub has a three-legged cat who’s very well cared for. He only likes people he knows, so be careful when you first meet him — he can be a bit grumpy. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the beer is excellent, there’s a pool table, board games on the shelves, comfy sofas, and bar stools perfect for chatting with Chris and Amber. I’ve been living here for a year, and this is by far the best pub in London for anyone looking for a calm, local spot away from the tourist scene. I absolutely love this place.”

“Great food at fair price, the location is accessible for public transport, the atmosphere feels like Real London, the service was great. They have kids menu, and even though it’s a place for adults, it felt very kid friendly. I recommend the London City Detour for this amazing and unique gastronomic experience. Ps: my daughter said the Ice Cream was the best she had in her 6 years life.”

They’ve got the best staff Good selection of beers on tap, they have a lovely garden downstairs and the vibe is so welcoming and chill. Very spacious, toilets were clean, and the snacks we had were just amazing, and it’s LGBTQ+ friendly. Highly recommend it over any pub around it.”

“Took an international group eager for a Sunday Roast here last weekend and we all loved the food. Big portions, delicious gravy and lots of options. My picture is of the combo roast with a little of everything. Only downside is they serve the combo roast on this wooden board which really means you can't pour the gravy over it without it landing on your lap so would suggest they serve this on a plate like all the others. Not a criticism but more for info - this isn't the place for a 'lazy lunch', they are strict on you leaving the table when your time is up so don't dilly dally, thankfully the food comes out quickly and we were able to then go sit inside for another drink. Staff were lovely and very accommodating and even relocated us when our original table was under the scorching sun. Would definitely recommend!”

“A lovely Sam Smith's pub that adheres to the usual rules of putting down your phones and talking to each other. The beer was as well kept as you'd hope and the staff were friendly. On the day we visited the pub seemed to attract a diverse clientele, some of whom were playing games, others playing pool or darts, and more still sitting in groups and talking. The vibe was lovely, and it's always nice to see snob screens, even if they're not original.”
