“Having had some disappointing takeaways recently, I wanted to try somewhere different. Positive reviews encouraged me to try Leavesden Tandoori. Was not disappointed. Good portion sizes and tasty food. Will use this takeaway again in the near future.”

“We were recommended to them by friends. Really pleasantly surprised. Friendly lady took our order and it was correct. Food was still hot when got it home twenty mins later. We will probably get delivery next time. The food was delicious and this is why...in our opinion...it was not sitting in lots of sauces (each dish) it was not soggy. It was not full of monosodium glutamate. So, food tasted good and we were thirsty all night! Noodles, beansprouts and meat was crispier and not covered in sauces. Food was good portion sizes and under £20 for four dishes. Finally, premises looked clean and they are rated well for cleanliness.”

“Great little pub in the centre of Watford which isn't just part of another chain franchise, so a rarity! They've recently don't up the beer garden which now has to be the best in town, good selection of beers and ciders, reasonable prices, nice staff, just a really great pub!”

We often found ourselves waiting or having to flag someone down for things like drinks refills or clearing plates. Improving this small aspect of table service would elevate the dining experience significantly. Verdict: Highly recommended for food lovers and those who appreciate great value. “Stayed 2 nights in twin room. Rooms lovely and clean tea, coffee, kettle etc. Good location to train and bus station easy walking distance and flat. If your going to Harry Potter studios great location to drive or catch bus. Food in pub was fine, and good value for money. Staff are amazing especially Briony. Would stay again.”

“Had a great time in here with my boyfriend on Saturday night. The waiter was so chatty and we just didn't want to leave not even when they had to turn the sign light off and nudge us out gently. Really good curry, best I've had in a long time. Nice and hot with lots of flavour. Superb”

“Have been coming to cafe hero for some time now and always get the best coffee be it white American (hot milk) , flat white white or mocha served by the lovely Elena and her new members of team Callista who recently has been taking my order and has met all expectations. They are very welcoming, customer friendly and hospitable but above all they serve the best coffee which will not disappoint. Look forward in seeing you both again next week…. A special shoutout to Dennis, who was absolutely brilliant behind the bar – super helpful, friendly, and really attentive. “It's what you expect, and is on the A41 so easy to access. Food is usual McDs grub usually hot and well cooked, not always perfect but no McDs ever is. The staff are friendly and helpful, and usually smile. It's clean enough but during busy periods gets a bit chaotic. Parking is horrific and during busy periods just a pain. I go here late at night after work as it 24hr and hot food is hot food at 2am!”
