“We went for Sunday roast and everything was fantastic! I had the nut roast and as a veggie that’s a tough roast to make, it was delicious. The others had the lamb which was cooked to perfection. Sticky toffee pudding was wonderful. Proportions were ideal, not too much crowding the plate and being wasteful but more than enough for a heart Sunday lunch. Highly recommend a visit, I’ll be back again.”

“My first time on this side of the river trying a cafe. After an appointment was looking around for a cosy place and found this cafe. Lovely atmosphere, polite staff with a smile and amazing food. I ordered a small mezze platter and latte. The mezze was delicious and absolutely felt bigger than small! The serving dishes were lovely and over all presentation was attractive. “Me and my family have been going to this place for probably over 10 years now and I’ll be honest it has had it up and downs and there are some common issues like the chips being undercooked or food being a little bit cold but most of the time it’s lovely for fish and chips I’ve only had their Chinese a few times and it is very nice. I don’t know if it’s slight bias from customer loyalty but any time you’ve had an issue we have mentioned it and the lovely woman who works there has sorted it so if you’ve been there and it wasn’t the greatest go again, and I hope your experience is better.”

“Great restaurant. The food here was really nice and the staff were funny and accommodating. We came in with one of my siblings who has autism and the staff were very understanding and made him feel welcome and included. My family and I will definitely be coming back here in the future, I recommend it to anyone in the local area looking for a nice Indian restaurant!”

“Bought a range of food from vegan , vegetarian and chicken katsu wrap. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Pics are of my vegan bowl with wholemeal rice, carrot, red lettuce, inari, crispy onions and topped with siriachi sauce.”

“I was so lucky to be able to share in Tom and Laura's wedding celebrations on 20 September, not just because I love Tom & Laura, but because I also got to participate in The King's Head culinary experience ! And what a treat it was.... the inspiring variety of food, all cooked to perfection, all beautifully presented, all immaculately timed and served hot (which is always a challenge with a large event) and all devoured with relish and many compliments. The staff were super friendly, helpful and polite - around, without being intrusive...the outside space was lovely and later in the evening the back room changed from being an entrancing restaurant into a nightclub!!!!! What more do you need? A perfect day!! Well done....”

“After many years away, we returned to what was once our local! Lovely service and delicious menu options. We went early (5pm) and might go later next time or for lunch to avoid the numerous families with small noisy kids who came in after us. It got pretty frenetic.”

“Delicious Martinis Magic Mushrooms Pancake and a flat white which was delicious. Looking forward to when they open the Deli/Cafe properly. Took a couple of slices of Banana Bread home for my wife and myself,which was good. I’m not keen on the paper cups and plates etc,but the quality more than makes up for it.”

“The front and back of house teams here, are excellent. Service is always good no matter who is at the front or how busy it is. The hot food is always cooked consistently (this may sound like an underwhelming compliment, but it’s not!) and comes out from the kitchen promptly. The quality of suppliers used is also a major plus, especially regarding the meat and cakes. Pastries, croissants etc. are fine, but cakes are the standout. The sausage sandwich and carrot cake never miss, we now come here for weekend breakfast baps, as they are better than what we make at home. Keep up the good work, very happy to have this place in my neighbourhood.”

“Very good food in a typical Chinese dim sum restaurant. The dim sum are home made. One can tell because they are fresh and made w good ingredients, while dim sum restaurants use l frozen package food. Ambiance of the restaurant wasn’t great, noisy w tired decor. Service staff were very friendly. One can tell the food is good when most customers were Hong Kongers”

“I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food. I'd certainly go here again. We had a little competition going on. I purchased haddock and chips from here, whereas my family used Mr. COD(s) They ordered first, and had to wait the best part of an hour for delivery as the times kept changing, then they had to go out to find the delivery rider. I was eating mine within 20 minutes after collecting from Fresh Fare. Mine was also £3.60 cheaper.”
