“I called up Adam and his sales director Jeremy three weeks before coming over from Belgium for a London weekend with some ideas on what I would like for two suits, asking if they would make any adjustments in a short time. Protests in London meant I could only reach them for a first visit on the Sunday, but by Monday early afternoon, not only had they helped select the perfect two tailored suits I needed, they had also adjusted them, made to measure. The quality of the tailoring is superb as are the materials. The greatest mod clobber experience I have ever had. Thanks.”

This visit, set at the turn of summer to autumn, saw two styles of plating shift from vivid colours to the muted tones of fallen leaves, wheat, chestnuts and early autumn earth. “I had a really lovely Saturday lunch at Pizza Pilgrims, I went there with two of my friends, the staff was amazing, Carmen, Joe and Ripon were very friendly and also the rest of the staff!! We started with some artichokes, cacio and pepe balls and provolone fried were absolutely amazing, then I had the mushroom and truffle might seems heavy but was very balanced, my friend had margherita and diavola they looked amazing. Special mention to Carmen and Ripon that came to sing happy birthday to me ❤️!!”

“Ended up here spontaneously on our second date, and it turned out to be the best decision because wow, the food did not disappoint. We ordered the Meat Supreme, and it was incredibly crispy without being too doughy. I genuinely wish I could experience that first bite all over again. The ranch sauce was a bit rich on its own, so something spicy to cut through it would’ve been perfect. The turnover is quite fast, as people tend to eat and leave, so seating wasn’t an issue even on a Saturday. The staff were also really friendly. I can’t wait to come back.”

We sat outside as it was a lovely day with a spectacular view across the valley. We went for the set menu. It's not cheap but actually it's not unreasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. A few surprises (ants - deliberately - on the sushi) which were utterly delicious. We had different choices and every one of them was fantastic. Service was brilliant - friendly and informative - and the whole experience was unrushed, relaxed and sublime. Couldn't have had a better celebration of our anniversary. But the lady and the man in the shop running the place were so welcoming and polite and lovely and made us feel comfortable. The patties were gorgeous and hot and decently priced. The special prawns and the different varieties of chicken tikka are a must-try; you’ll love them. They have loads of tasty curries and a good range of soft drinks too. We tried the mango lassi — it was superb! The kids really enjoyed the desserts, and the portion sizes for every dish were generous.
